Someone on Twitter said he’s run off with Kate Middleton
Same. One of the few transfers we did in recent times that I actually felt showed a ton of promise to become great.thought he had a promising first season. Hope he gets better soon.
Knee injuries are a tough one as most of the rehabilitation is mental, being confident that the knee won't go again on you.Wouldn't at all be surprised if that's accurate. I'm not one for 'conspiracy theories' in the least, and didn't indulge in reading or posting much about him, but the longer it went on the more it seemed likely that something unexpected had happened after we opted to send back Reguillon only for any news of Malacia's return to completely dry up.
Had it just been an injury recurrence, I don't know why the club wouldn't have been more up front about it. News was so sparse and guarded, that something private like mental issues seems a likely explanation.
If so, have full sympathy for him and hope he recovers quickly - physically and (if needed) mentally.
Piss ups with Murtough. Why the hell is he regularly travelling to Barcelona?!?
Was going to ask the same thing - maybe better more efficient recovery in a slightly warmer climate…but you could go to other warmer climates! Why the hell is he regularly travelling to Barcelona?!?

Cugat, the peds kingWhy the hell is he regularly travelling to Barcelona?!?
I saw this a while back and even though he said it as an aside, has it been accepted that his surgery/surgeries went badly?
Dr Cugat of Barcelona is supposedly the top knee surgeon. Can't remember when I first came across him, one of our guys has been to him before anyway. Why the hell is he regularly travelling to Barcelona?!?
Based on how long he's been out, I imagine there is absolutely zero chance of him playing this seasonWould be great having him back, mostly to spare us from the horror show of AWB as an inverted fullback.

I imagine after all the set backs, he'll be grateful to get back to a decent level, let alone with us.Yep. Lifting weights is what he’s been doing all season. A long way to go unfortunately before he’s in full contact training with the rest of the team.
I love posts like this that just basically make up stuff. What misplaced hype? I've rarely heard Malacia referred to as anything more than a promising player who is a good backup. The misplaced hype around this guy is nuts. He's probably behind AWB and Dalot anyway... and that's saying something!
