Saturday 12 August, 12:30 BST kickoff. Live on MUTV.

Apparently, although I'm not sure about it, we still don't have international clearance for the Fletcher brothers, but Harry Amass should be in contention.

Boro finished in mid-table last season.

Ah, thanks for the info about the Fletcher twins and Amass. I've been wondering the status of them with the new season starting. Good to know that Amass is available at least.

Love U18 and U23 games - no nerves - just joy of watching football.

Yeah it brings a nice balance to watching the men’s (and women’s in my case) first team.

Especially with the U18s there’s that bit of naivety and innocence which is refreshing.

Myles

Ogunneye
Munro
Jackson
Nolan

McAllister (C)
Fitzgerald

Scanlon
Moorhouse
Williams

Musa

Subs: Harrison*, Kamason, Devaney, Missin, Biancheri

*According to MUTV, ”sub keeper Zach Baumann” is on the bench. Saw the United gk coach being in goal during warm-ups so perhaps Harrison is actually not fit and not on the bench.

Wonder if Harrison isn't being risked because he is likely to be on the bench on Monday night.
Was thinking the same. Still think they’ll go with the ”pecking order” and it’ll be Mee on the bench on Monday. Really hope it’s Harrison though.

Couldn't they build scaffoldings for the TV cameras? Christ on a stick.
They don't even need that, you can get camera's that extend upwards. My niece's team have them for recording games, so they can watch their performances back.

The bush jungle behind the goal is amazing. You can probably find a dozen balls lost in that jungle.

Its LVG's curtain security on steroids.

Managed about a minute before turning it off, may as well just get someone to live stream from his phone.

Look on the bright side, at least the lens is no longer covered with rain.

2-0 Munro puts it in without even knowing it himself after their keeper misses the cross from a corner.

Local tourney? So who played, kids wise?
@top1whoisman was doing updates on the general reserve thread. United won 3-2.

Starting XI was: Heath - Freedman, Mapengu, Armer, Kukonki - McCormack, Bailey - Montato, Ibrovic-Fletcher, Ajayi - Bradbury.

Bradbury, Bailey, Armer with the goals.

I do like how Williams can take set pieces, as well as cross and shoot, with either foot. With his pace and driving runs on the wing, he's a very good player for the U18's. Did he win the player of the year last season? He probably deserved it.

Mainoo won the young player of the year award. Gore reserves’. Williams should’ve won it but I can understand why they wanted to acknowledge Mainoo’s development.

That's some ball by Williams with the outside of his boot.
