For the first time tonight one must say that’s a poor bit of defending. Four players around Mfuni but no-one really marks him.

Lacey runs into the box but the shot is easily blocked. Perhaps the wrong decision from Lacey.

Didn`t know this was on until 10min, started watching, excited to watch us. Now i am falling to sleep watching City pass the ball around with sidefooters, back and forth. Jesus they are equally boring at this level. Hope we can hold on now!

Brilliant save from Harrison!

Brits with an equally important save at the other end.

LET'S GO!! A DOUBLE BY THE U18s this season.

Harrison has won us this game at the end. String of crucial saves.

I haven't bothered to check by the way but I'm pretty certain Ethan Wheatley will have finished as the top scorer of the competition with his 9 goals.

Hope, We Lose
Very well finished 2 goals from Wheatley, after that a few wasted chances on United attacks (not from him)

City dominated the ball as you'd expect and by the end there was plenty of good defending that needed to be done. The goalkeeper Harrison was as important Wheatley with the goals. He saved a few that could have gone in. League and cup, fantastic job done by Adam Lawrence

Very nice that Wheatley, Jackson and Amass got to be a part of the final. Very valuable experience this.

Grown 'men' booing 17 year olds as they come to collect their runners up medals. Jesus Christ.

On a very unrelated note, I'm using the editor and bumping up Wheatley's potential in FM24.

Easily Prem/Championship potential there and fecking cnuts don't have him better than League 2 potential.

Moorhouse looks like he's on crutches which is a bit sad. Must've suffered a setback in his recovery.

Nice gesture from the youth coaches, U13s’ JJ Gabriel was with the squad and doing the warm-up session before kickoff with the rest of the team.

Anyone know when was the last time we did the double(or just won the league) and the squad that played in it?

We haven’t won the Premier League Cup before, this was our first one. We’ve won the North section of the U18 Premier League once before since its birth in 2012/13.

We did that in 2017/18 with the likes of Matěj Kovář, Ethan Laird, Lee O’Connor, Brandon Williams, Di’shon Bernard, Teden Mengi, James Garner, Angel Gomes, Dylan Levitt, Ethan Galbraith, Arnau Puigmal, Mason Greenwood, Largie Ramazani, Tahith Chong, D’mani Mellor, Nishan Burkart, Aidan Barlow, Dion McGhee, Millen Baars, George Tanner etc. in the team.

When you look at the level about half of those players are currently playing at, wow…. We might have something similar with the current team but it’s very hard to follow that 17/18 group in terms of development.
