Not cup tied?
While Matic has 48 caps to his name, David DeGea and Juan Mata each have 41 caps, Ighalo had 35, and Lindelof has 33...Looking at the team starting against AZ, 9 of 11 players are Austrian, with a total of 11 caps for the Austrian national team, where the young striker Marko Raguz got 5 of them. They also have experienced Australian midfielder James Holland with a total of 15 caps. In January they signed the big Brazilian forward Klauss on loan from Hoffenheim until the end of the season. 2 of their CBs face suspension for the first leg against us after picking up to many yellow cards. So for the people saying they never heard of them, I guess thats something.
He had a good career in Germany, played for Bremen and Bayern. I saw that he had around 15 games for Palace when he was 23. Hardly one of the biggest PL flops. I'm almost sure you think of someone else and you are mistaken about this.Is he in charge ? One of the biggest transfer flops in P.L-history.

Wait for the finalJust glad it wasn’t fecking Wolves. I was half expecting it to be. They’ve been magnetised to us in a draw ball pot this past year.
Blimey. If i were a Liverpool fan right now, Champions of Europe, soon to be Champions of England by 50 points, on for a treble, best team in the World by an absolute mile, I would not be remotely fecked about whats going on in the Europa League, or at any other club.My Liverpool supporting mate thinks it's being fiddled to help us back into the Champions league...
They. Are. Worried?Blimey. If i were a Liverpool fan right now, Champions of Europe, soon to be Champions of England by 50 points, on for a treble, best team in the World by an absolute mile, I would not be remotely fecked about whats going on in the Europa League, or at any other club.
It’s nice to know that they still think about us, when they’re basically having the season akin to someone playing FM and reloading the save until they win the match (save scumming)My Liverpool supporting mate thinks it's being fiddled to help us back into the Champions league...
The hate remains strong in them, don't you worry about that.It’s nice to know that they still think about us, when they’re basically having the season akin to someone playing FM and reloading the save until they win the match (save scumming)
Cheers.Who was one of the stars last night?
And besides, there is no being "cup tied" anymore. They did away with that. Why does this still get asked before every stage?
The same AZ we spanked 4-0?dont underestimate them. They beat AZ in the last round and AZ are a pretty good team this year
With Young and Pereira on the field. Young even scored. Garner played 90' and Jones subbed in for Maguire.The same AZ we spanked 4-0?

Why are Austria Wien called Austria? Seems like if we were called England Manchester.Being from Austria this is fantastic. Need to figure out how to get tickets for the game in Linz.
Any idea where to get some for United away games?
I have not watched too much Austrian football the past few years but the newspapers are always full of praise for LASK and how they became the main challenger of RB Salzburg. Partially this is due to the big Vienna clubs Rapid and Austria having been awful for years.
They’re ahead of RB Salzburg.Bit of a surprise.? Don’t expect it to stay like that but has to be respected, not feared thoughWe'll take them to task. Seem to be minnows, decent team in Austria, but we got this.
Seems like a good draw for us, but we need to be concentrated and get the job done. They lost to Brugge but won over PSV, Sporting, Basel, and Alkmaar so we should take them seriously.LASK Linz - what to expect
Hi guys!
As a United Supporter from Linz I want to share some information about our next opponent in the Europa League.
They currently lead the Austrian Bundesliga 3 points ahead of Red Bull Salzburg and also have the chance to win the Austrian Cup where they are in the semifinals.
LASK are sort of the fairytale story and counter-theory to Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.
A few years ago they were in the 3rd Austrian Division - without a stadium and without money. But with smart investment and using local homegrown players they made their way back up.
Teams they have already beaten this season:
* Basel - 3:1 at home.
* Sporting - 3:0 at home.
* PSV - 4:0!! at home.
* Alkmaar - 2:0 at home.
They also played against Bruges this season in the Champions League Qualifier where they lost at home and away, going out with a total score of 1:3.
Players to look out for:
* Alexander Schlager - their GK and probably the Goalie for the Austrian Nationalteam in the coming years; very good on the line.
* Gernot Trauner - reminds me a little bit of Harry Maguire. Not the quickest by any means but commanding, very good in the air and with great positioning. He's their Captain.
* Thomas Goiginger - their "flair player". A pacey winger who likes to cross the ball often and early.
* Marko Raguz - their striker and probably most dangerous player in the EL. 5 goals in 8 games - scored against Alkmaar twice at home and once away. Also scored against Sporting.
Hoping for a good game and that our boys will make it to the next round
Cheers!
And yes! I'm totally desperate for tickets!
I dunno, Salzburg lost Haaland and Minamino in the January window.They’re ahead of RB Salzburg.Bit of a surprise.? Don’t expect it to stay like that but has to be respected, not feared though
Same!Let me know if you find any thing! Living in Innsbruck at the moment and would love to make the trip!
The beat Salzburg 3-2 away a fortnight ago.LASK playing well in Austria at the moment, Have a game against Salzburg next week which I'll be keeping my eyes on.
Salzburg not quite weak now after losing both of their star men in January - Haaland and MinaminoThe beat Salzburg 3-2 away a fortnight ago.
Were they that dependent on those 2?I dunno, Salzburg lost Haaland and Minamino in the January window.
One up against Frankfurt at the moment, though. But yeah, they are obviously weakened.Salzburg not quite weak now after losing both of their star men in January - Haaland and Minamino
They lost the 1st leg 4-1 in Germany.One up against Frankfurt at the moment, though. But yeah, they are obviously weakened.
Truth. But that is why they are Liverpool fans, even when they are temporarily at the top of the world, they can't help looking up our asses and expecting us to shit on their team nextBlimey. Don’t know what their depth is like but those two were certainly massively important players for them.Were they that dependent on those 2?
