Film Venom | Tom Hardy

Looks alright to me, standard superhero stuff.

Looks awful. Sony should give up Spiderman already.

Why all the negative comments? I think it looks quite good. I mean, it’s a superhero movie so expectations are low but Tom Hardy is quality in every film he’s in, Riz Ahmed is a great actor too, the fight scene in the trailer is pretty damn good and Venom looks cool. What more do ye want?

My thoughts exactly.

I think people have come to have really high expectations from superhero movies lately. I blame Christopher Nolan.

CG looked a little dodgy at the end but apart from that it looked pretty decent!

After Deadpool and Logan, I expect superhero films to now be better. This looks a step in the wrong direction.

I struggle to think of a Marvel comic I like less than Venom, but Tom Hardy is usually great fun in anything he's in. Doubt I'll see it at the cinema, but I'll be curious to see it on general release.

How about this?

Actually, I'd love to read that.

I've been waiting for a proper Venom for years and I think I'll still be waiting after this.

How can you have a Venom story without Spider-Man? Spider-Man is literally the reason Venom came into existence. I hate the current Spidey but he should've been in this.

Don't understand the hate. I loved the look of it. Not taking it too seriously but it has a great cast, Hardy, Ahmed and Mulligan. Quality actors. I like darker themed movies too, so there's that.

I think Sony's record of late would have people concerned at least. Also I reckon that it will depend on whether Hardy's affectations are grating throughout.

The extent of my knowledge of Sony is that they invented the Walkman and the Playstation. What is this record you're referring to?
Mini disc, what a disaster!

No the whole hack that showed the height of their cinematic vision was a crossover movie with Zorro and Django unchained or a crossover with 21 Jump Street and Men in Black. They also made shit of the last 2 Spiderman movies that resulted in them having to allow him join the marvel cinema universe to get any kind of return on the character rights.

This doesn't look bad, but it looks like a Netflix series rather than a huge budget movie to me.

Looks miles better than the first trailer, his accent isn't particularly convincing though. The first trailer seemed a lot more family friendly, this one is a bit darker like the Venom character should be really.

Yeah i agree, much improved. I thought Venom was only going to show up at the very end but looks like we'll get more of him in the movie. And it looks like its going down the Logan route of being violent.

Awful. When will Sony give up their Spiderman rights completely? They lost their way ages ago. Would've been awesome to see Venom in the MCU.

New trailer. Still looks shit to me.

They lost me at the turds in the wind line.

"Rolling down the street like a turd in the wind"

Has that ever happened? Who writes this shite?

Might as well have gone full Bill & Ted on it.

"All we are is turds in the wind dude"
Points at turd, "Turds"
Blows on the turd, "wind"
Points at guy, "dude"

Don't care what any of you lot say, I love Tom Hardy

Warming to it more and more. They have done a perfect job on Venom both in looks and character.

There's been been about 20 trailers and clips, it's getting annoying, they should release the damn thing
