Someone should tell him that Saudi league sucks
Yeah going there at 26 just says it all about him, think the comparison to Oscar is very apt because similar ageI doubt he cares mate. He's after the money. Same thing happened with Oscar when he went to China.
Give me a proven striker over another 'project' any day of the week please...

That isn't particularly good ball control. His first touch sends the ball 6ft up in the air. We're walking away from this one and rightly so. We shouldn't be paying Saudi salaries. Gyökeres is the one that will sting.
After that stuff about Utd expecting him to go elsewhere and Ornstein confirming Arsenal interest I have had time to digest the disappointmentThat isn't particularly good ball control. Yeah Ornstein knew what he was talking aboutYou could hear a pin drop now. Radio silence
What was he talking about?Yeah Ornstein knew what he was talking about
Said he wasn't on Utd's listWhat was he talking about?
Checks out then. I’d like him here but the math isn’t mathing for this type of transfer when we could spend more wisely to fill in more positions for longer term stability. He’d be the kind of signing to make afterward. Overall I’m not too fussed.Said he wasn't on Utd's list
Are you referring to that stuff from Santi Aouna tonight about approaching his reps but Gyökeres top target? Its conceivable that Ornstein was correct at the time, but that United may have since taken a closer look at whether Osimhen might make sense, especially if they could dangle a player like Garnacho to Napoli.

I think that until and unless we hear that the Saudi move has collapsed we have to assume him coming here is not happening. The fact that not just us but every striker needy team is not looking at Osimhen would support the idea that it is accepted he has made his decision and is not interested in hearing other offers. Its conceivable that Ornstein was correct at the time, but that United may have since taken a closer look at whether Osimhen might make sense, especially if they could dangle a player like Garnacho to Napoli.
Doubt he's still on the market after the summerChecks out then. I’d like him here but the math isn’t mathing for this type of transfer when we could spend more wisely to fill in more positions for longer term stability. He’d be the kind of signing to make afterward. Overall I’m not too fussed.
Is there news? You could hear a pin drop now. Radio silence
Yeah but from a not very reliable sourceIs there news?
I'm sure this is the same story that Fabrizio reported and it was 12m net which is over 20m before tax.12m a year is certainly doable especially if we could move on some of the higher earners like Casemiro......but what would the transfer fee be?
I think we were interested but not at the wage demandsTerrible source. I don't think we've ever been interested and this has never been on. It's pure waffle.
Wage becomes a problem when you give big wage to wrong player.I think we were interested but not at the wage demands
I think Romano is in the wrong here. No chance Napoli could have paid him 12m net, and reports in Turkey that Gala are paying him 6m, which is in line with 12m gross wagesI'm sure this is the same story that Fabrizio reported and it was 12m net which is over 20m before tax.
No chanceIs he really available for €40M?
And another season of complaining we don't score enough and finishing midtableThink I'd rather keep Hojlund with a full pre-season under his belt under Amorim and more creative players around him. No doubt we need another striker but I see this lad as another expensive mistake waiting to happen.
I watched his latest goal compilation from this season and I just have a gut feeling that he would be a better signing than Gyokeres. Osimhen might not have the cleanest or most natural of ball striking ability like a Harry Kane, but he can absolutely hit them when he needs to and his aerial ability must be up there as the best of any striker in Europe as well.
Whenever I watch Gyokeres, I just can't shake the feeling that on the ball he is going to feel a bit sluggish in the Prem. Also, when I see the clips of him scoring a hattrick (which in fairness feels like every other week), it always seems like the keeper could have done so much better and the keeping standards will be so much higher in the Prem.
I know the Osimhen links are a bit cold right now after Ornstein tipped a bucket of water over the rumours linking him here a few weeks ago, but if we win EL I still think he is the man to go for. I'd give him 200k per week but if its true he's asking for Casemiro-level sums then of course we leave it, at which point I'd probably look at Delap as the value signing.
Can't imagine watching us regularly over the last 2 seasons and believing this is a good ideaThink I'd rather keep Hojlund with a full pre-season under his belt under Amorim and more creative players around him. No doubt we need another striker but I see this lad as another expensive mistake waiting to happen.
40 is maybe too low but lower fee than his release clause also makes sense. Unhappy player with broken relationship with his club and on huge wage. We, from all clubs, know that in these kind of terms you can't demand full price. No chance
You don't get the impression he will lower demands, otherwise would be higher on Utd and Chelsea lists. Didn't he basically agree to join Chelsea but the wages was stumbling block.40 is maybe too low but lower fee than his release clause also makes sense. Di Maria, Greenwood, Rashford (in some way) all gone bellow their market value.
Buying clubs know situation and anyone who wants him would be crazy to just pay release clause.
Same goes for Osimhen. If he wants to stay in Europe he will need to lower his demands a bit. Or go to Saudi. If his desire is money over football then fine. His choice.
12m net is ridiculous...that's what 400k per weekI'm sure this is the same story that Fabrizio reported and it was 12m net which is over 20m before tax.
There you go that's why he will end up in Saudi12m net is ridiculous...that's what 400k per week
Maybe somewhere between £150k and £250kWhat do you people think what kind of wage we should offer him?
I do agree that 400k gross is a no go but also you can't get premium player for 150k wage. So, 250k max? Take it or leave it?
