Vidal to Arsenal?

With Pogba likely to go. Tevez gone and Morata could potentially leave too. I can't see Juventus breaking up all their team.

I don't see this happening unless Pogba stays.
 
Would be a coup for Arsenal but I dont see how all the pieces fit together. He's like another Ramsey, maybe they could play together using the same theory the Gerrard - Lampard midfield constantly disproved, that one can cover the other when he goes forward. But even if that worked out well, where does Wilshire fit in? Cazorla? Coquelin? Bielic?

He also plays in the same areas Ozil wants to play in, albeit they have very different styles
 
At that price he's a no-brainer for Arsenal. I reckon the London factor plus the fact that Alexis Sanchez plays there already will have played a crucial part in luring him to them. He looks exactly the sort of player they need to become title challengers, if they can get another defender and a good forward in they'll probably have the strongest team in England.

I agree, I can't see this happening unless Wilshere moves further up the pitch permanently or Cazorla leaves. I doubt we'd make a forward signing too as other players would get shuffled a little.

This. It's one of those signings that take you up a notch. Hope it doesn't happen and I'm surprised it's been rumoured given he's at juve.
 
Vidal would be a great signing for them. If he is available, we should stick our noses in to see if we can wrestle in. Even if we don't win, might as well try to increase the price for Arsenal.

Pretty sure he was injured before he even got there. I think the initial prognosis was that he would be back sooner, but wasn't. I believe the payment structure was based upon the fact that he arrived injured. Perhaps not, I dunno.
 
Seems so cheap for a player so highly regarded by all on here over previous seasons? Not as impressive a season last year but still helped his side throughout the yr.

Probably goes to show that we weren't actually as active with him as previously rumoured.
 
Arsenal doesn't really need more midfielders, they have plenty of quality there:
DM: Coquelin, Arteta, Flamini
Box-to-box: Ramsey, Wilshere
AM: Carzola, Ozil, Rosicky, Chamberlin
 
I thought Vidal thing was one big windup? Plus, he doesn't seem like the kind of player Wenger would buy. He'd definitely add quality to their team though, squad depth and all that.

Great player but we don't need an energetic box to box midfielder. We already have a superb one in Ramsey. What we need is someone who can sit deep and defend but is also a superb passer and controller of the game.

Just looking at that, it's clear they need a good defensive midfielder to challenge Coquelin. Arteta is a fading presence and Flamini is just bad.

Can't see this being true to be honest. It would be a great signing and Juventus are a selling club (every player has a price for them). If we want him enough, we can definitely get him; but I don't see Wenger paying the price needed to sign him up.

Yes. The originator has already (a day or two ago) said that it was a total invention. Bizarre that the thread is still going on.
 
It is like last summer and our rumoured interest all over again. One day there are reports that it is a done deal, a few days later we get a report that there has been no contact. It is deja vu all over again.
 
I don't believe we're (Arsenal) in for him and I'm not sure he'd be the right player for us. We have loads of top B2B players already. He isn't a DM and he isn't a particularly good passer so he doesn't compliment the players we have.
