Gaming Video games you miss

Not so much a specific game/franchise but I miss local co-op games

Bruce Lee - Commodore 64

Karateka - Atari XE

ElfMania - Amiga 500

Pirates Gold - Amiga 1200 version

The Dig - PC Dos

Prince of Persia - SNES one with more levels and assets

Demolition Racer, Colin McRae II, First NFS game - PSX

Psycho Pinball - Sega Genesis

Moon Patrol - Arcade, Gameboy conversion was good too.

Speedball 2 on the Amiga with a proper microswitch joystick.

Sure, I've got emulated versions across various platforms, but as a teen I put hundreds of hours into this game just playing season mode over and over. The microswitch joystick made it super easy to swerve your shots in a way that you just can't on a keyboard or console controller

Speedball 2
Libero Grande 1+2
Vandal Hearts
Suikoden
Pandemonium! (Really overlooked platformer)
Micro Machines
Mutant League Football
NFL Blitz 2000
Soul Calibur

Arcade race games that aren't open-world, so basically series like NFS and Burnout before the mid 2000's. Who the feck wants to drive across a city to start a race?

Driver for the PlayStation

Had that game as a kid and not sure I ever actually got out of the garage.

Played it on an emulator a few years ago and it was still one of the most difficult things you have to do in the game.

Ohhh yeeeeeh.

It had a reboot on the PS3 and was tragically overlooked' that was a great game.
I didn’t know it has had a reboot. May have to try and find it. I was telling my son about the original the other day and thinking a new version of it would be great, shame it may not be

Haha yes I remember the time trial around car park including reverse 180s and stuff. What a great game it was

I miss the old MSN Gaming Zone where you could do online games of such Microsoft affiliated games like Midtown Madness, Motocross Madness and Monster Truck Madness.

I particularly missed Midtown Madness 2 Roof Wars servers and Monster Truck Madness 2 WCW/nWo Rumble servers.

Don't thnik I ever owned a computer that had Jet Set Willy that was part of its native lineup. I did get an Acorn Electron as one of my first computers, and one of it's clones/copies was Jet Power Jack. Had a lot of fun playing that, it was also a realese on the BBC Micro. Loved it!

Splinter cell could've been a huge franchise. Not sure what happened with it.
Probably because it was based on stealth and came out around the time MGS was bossing shit. I personally loved Splinter Cell. The stealth elements were better than MGS in my eyes.

Talking of stealth... TENCHU!

Used to love Heroes of Might & Magic as a kid. And I miss having the time to play Football Manager.

The one game I'd love to have a new release of I'd Fight Night. I was obsessed with FN Champion.
GOG have Heroes 1, 2, 3 and 4 on sale for $2.49 each at the moment + a whole swath of other for less and a bit more
