Original Spyro trilogy. The music is done by the former drummer of The Police, and it brilliantly fits the overall style and atmosphere of the games so well.

Final Fantasy series always has good music too, but especially FF7-FF10 for me.

I played through Halo: CE anniversary recently and the soundtrack was incredible. Some absolute bangers and the main theme is so iconic.

I still have the MGS theme stuck in my head and the last entry I played in that series was 2 when it came out.

I have to agree with Octopath Traveler, it's close to SNES era JRPG soundtracks.

The Witcher 3 is one of my favourites, especially the music in Skellige and Kaer Morhen.

I still listen to the original Starcraft Terran themes every once in a while. Powerful nostalgia.

The Witcher 3 is a great shout, too. I even went to a concert of the band in a dingy little club here. It was fantastic.

Final Fantasy IX's soundtrack is still stuck in my head after all these years. I remember really liking Beyond Good & Evil's soundtrack as well. More recently I enjoyed Hollow Knight's soundtrack and The Witcher 3's. Although the Velen strings got a bit monotonous at times.

Good picks in this thread I can see, I never really played FF and their is a lot of mentions in this thread so I will have to have a listen and see what the fuss is about.

Pokemon has always amazed me in the sense of the soundtrack for the games have never got boring and the levels hasn't dropped per game. What is your favourite theme out of the video games? Mine would be this one from the original trilogy Yellow/Blue/Green... It could of been many others but this tops the pile for me

Actual songs it's hard to beat any Gta game. San Andreas- full star police chase through the desert with Barracuda or Tom Petty on, thinking about it I might play that later.

I also love the catchiness of the Mario Kart tunes.
