Yeah... he didn't come off his line...With the number of us remembering that save from Mata's freekick as their choice the most memorable David de Gea save, I am led to think that I am not as biased about my own appreciation of this save.
The Mata save for me too, is the one that I recall right up there for the most memorable save Dave brought up. Many others can rank very close there or at the same level, I would say.

The £375,000 a week save since he left is probably the best. 12 years at the club and still couldn't claim a ball in the air from a corner or any cross! Admittedly he was a world class shot stopper for a few seasons but never commanded his area. Cost us so many games. Good riddance in my opinion.
