tbh we haven't lost a first teamer, GB. The player I think will replace him on the bench is Pereira
Still think Zlatan will be back for us for another year once he recovers. Lukaku, Rashford and Zlatan.
Rooney does not need to be replaced as he wasn't even a starter last season.
We have lost a forward option. Regardless of how he performed last season.

We play with one striker. Lukaku is someone who I expect to start almost every match, as Zlatan did last season. Lukaku has not been injury prone and we have Rashford to back him up. If both are absent Martial can do a job up top. The fourth striker would be unnecessary.
Rooney's place in the squad should be replaced by a winger. We cannot afford to see Lingard make over 40 appearances if we are seriously going to contend for major trophies.

We still need a Griezmann, Hazard or Sanchez to be title challengers imo. We don't have that star quality to compliment Lukaku. Just like we didn't for Zlatan last season
It all really depends on how Jose uterlises his squad because let's be honest he has a track record of playing his strongest team whatever the competition week in week out until he has to rotate so for that reason we probably don't need to replace Rooney be it positonally or number wise
How many games did he play last year? 25. So yes he does need to be replaced by someone who can play at least 25 times this year. If Lukaku or Rashford get injured and miss a chunk of the season, we will be very short of attacking options.

I think we'll continue with what we have and then have Greizzman as the replacement next Summer.

Griezmann was the replacement, think that was pretty clear.

Martial didn't play much last season. He can naturally replace Rooney's minutes. Lukaku was a like-for-like Zlatan replacement (for minutes, I know they are different players).
I think Mkhi might get the #10 with Lukaku getting #9. Don't see us getting another CF.
If our attacking options remain how they are for the season and Lukaku gets injured, just watch the meltdown unfold.

Definitely agree, we need a winger badly. I do still believe in the possibility of Griezmann next year as well.
We do need one though. Remember last season with Ibrahimovic - it could happen again and I'm unsure if Rashford can fill the gap. Nothing would please me more if he turns out to be a 20+ man.
Yeah I'm not suggesting otherwise, I don't think Rashford fills the mould but I think we're going to have to make do a bit. Can't buy all the players we need at once.
