Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
If Ronaldo wasn’t Ronaldo, with the expectations attached that come with Ronaldo. And it was Rashford having the exact same season, people would be saying he was the best player unanimously. It’s just because it’s Ronaldo
No he wouldn't.

Ronaldo is actually having a similar season as to what Rashford did last season. Still getting a fairly good amount of goals and assists, but his overall performances are largely poor. In fact Rashford's season was statistically better with a goal or assist every 115 mins, whereas Ronaldo is only getting one every 132 mins. I don't remember everyone saying Rashford was the best player last season, and in fact plenty of people were unhappy with his general form (exactly as they are with Ronaldo's now).

Maybe if we were just talking about the first half of the season, but Ronaldo has been poor basically since 2022 started.

The kid on loan to Forest, Garner, give it to him, nobody else deserves it, whoever gets it should be fecking ashamed of themselves. Give it to the people who washes the kit.

Jones. One of the best displays from a defender all season against Wolves

Fred. Just for his beautifully articulated and poetic quote on “carrying the piano for the artists to play”.

But in all seriousness, he has a hunger to do well and that alone is laudable in a team as passionless as ours

De Gea

The only one who hasn’t really made a mistake that sticks in your memory and has positive things that stick in your memory.

Fred has been good for not letting his head go down and his enthusiasm is refreshing in this squad but he’s not been as good as De Gea has.

Good God, no.

He's been rubbish.

Seeing as though all of them have been equally as bad this season, can we decide this by forcing them to run suicides until there's a last man standing?
Ridiculous. Not obvious or clear at all.

De Gea has been better than Ronaldo “by some distance” too.
Ronaldo  feck me when will this cult die.
As I said at the time. It's Ronaldo and not even close.

Any of you ready to admit you were wrong or are you going to be stubborn just because you don't like being wrong?

Between Fred and Ronaldo, it'll probably end up being Ronaldo after his spate of goals. As long as it's not De Gea.

Obviously Ronaldo and thank god for him, otherwise we’d be 14th and out the Champions league before Bonfire night. DDG close second.

De Gea or Ronaldo, Fred has been okay for a few games since RR took over, De Gea has been consistent all season with shot stopping and Ronaldo showed leadership, scored goals throughout.

Yes his huge performances against Norwich and Brentford probably gives him the edge.

What a shit squad we have. Thank God the season is coming to an end.

With hindsight, I could win the lottery. You can't use the past few weeks to argue your point from 3 weeks ago.

My opinion was based from before his recent bout of goals/performances. Since then, he has been better and now he is arguably our POTY.

Ronaldos form of late makes it him. Don’t think he’s had a great season though.

Ronaldo but it's telling that a few weeks of good form is enough this season for him to get it.

Fred was our best and most consistent player.

Ronaldo was awful in the middle part of the season and his goals have come in bunches. Shouts for him to win POTY are purely based off recency bias.

I agree. Ronnies been very good the last few weeks again though. The rest of the team absolutely fell apart without Fred over the last month or so though. He’s really important until we get a few more harder working players
