Obviously the sensible answer is Paul pogba. He's our top goalscorer and assist maker and he's managed that from midfield. The team is total gash though.

There's no obvious footballing candidate so we should just go with the times and award it based on intersectionality points.

No one has stood out consistently this season.

So, what I do is: take my average player-rating score for the season and then add on an extra 0.1 each time I've awarded the player in question MOM.

This gives me Rashford (6.9) ahead of DDG (6.7). Best way I could think of doing it after a mediocre season.

It would have been better to postpone this award this season. Let's be honest, no one really deserves it. Performances here and there, but nothing consistent.

I think it would make a good statement if the club says no one worked hard enough to deserve it, so we're not handing it out this year. May sound petty but these players don't deserve any kind of award. They already get an undeserved salary. Players who don't like it can leave.

I’d use it as bait for a new signing.

Sign for us and do two keepy uppys. That’s enough to win it this season.

Going to vote for Darmian. I'd love it if He somehow wins it and have no idea what is going on.

His sideburns will fall off.

First time in ages, it seems like "give it to DDG" isn't the obvious answer. It just shows how far our new (interim) manager Solksjaer has brought us so far.

This season, I'd like to think it's Pogba, our midfield general. He's the sun, controlling 10 others around him. But Rashford and Martial are guaranteed you goals with their mad skills, finishing and work rate. Or Herrera, the mad dog; Lindelof, our new Baresi. And of course, DDG the GOAT, which is the difference between us and Spurs in our last match.
Or maybe Fred will emerge as the dark horse.

So, what's your predict?

:D this is what happens when we get ahead of ourselves.

This post has not aged well at all.

The love in for Shaw I find really odd. He really hasn’t been that great. When was the last time he overlapped the LW and provided a cross in the box? Literally offers nothing going forward and still looks overweight.

Not a single player deserves the award. I’d probably give it McTominay just because of the progression he has made over the season.

Our best player is probably Pogba by stats but then half his goals are penalties.

The assist to Mata against Chelsea like 1 game ago?

I agree on the general point though. Him and Pogba have been out best players this season and have both still not been anywhere near good.

Lindelof is the only player in the squad who really hasn't dropped from a good level this season

Probably Herrera even though he hasn't played that much.

Would give it to Lindelof, who has shown genuine improvement and performed reasonably consistency over the course of the season. Can't really find a justification for anyone else.

I think it´s diffcult to see any player claiming it to be fair. Shaw and Lindelof have shown improvement but my choice would be McTominay based on his performances against PSG,Liverpool and showing now that he can score goals also. Perhaps I´m a little bit blinded by the fact the he seems to be one of few that acutally give a feck and gives 100% every time. But on the other hand it´s a sign of the state of us that I´m chosing him because he gives an effort. Back in the day no matter if it was Giggs,Beckham,Scholes,Keane,Butt,Ronaldo,Cantona,OGS,Cole,Yorke,Stam,Nev,Irwin you always knew even in the games were things were not clicking that they gave their all in every game. That´s something this current group of players do not do.

Tough one, they have all been pathetic so often. Pogba stands out as the best player but i think he needs to go to remove his negative influence on young players.

Yes that is about right. Lindelöf has become quite consistent and will improve with a better defensive lineup. I am really pleased for him because he looked awful at the start.
The only other player for me would be Luke Shaw but I never really know whether he is fit or just overweight but at least he has made that position his own.

Give it to someone on the womens team instead. At least they put the effort in when they play.

Seriously, the club should consider scuppering all awards this season. Where we ended up is completely unacceptable given the standards we set for ourselves and it would be a demonstration of conviction were we to cancel all awards this season.

I do not write this in jest. And I'm not even even angry. Life goes on after a horror season but the path forward to a better future for this club begins with the recognition that this is no time to celebrate.

Unfortunately it has to be Pogba. When he's on, he's great. But when he's off he is horrible and I can't wait to see him gone. The only other contender would be Luke Shaw...

Because he's the only one who has been consistant for most of the year. He hasn't "wowed" anyone, but he has been the shiniest turd in a bucket of shite...
50+ goals conceded in defence. Let's give it to the defender

So does that mean if your team gives up a shit ton of goals then all of them had to be bad? I give the players ratings on here after every match, and guess who is leading the way with the highest overall rating? Shaw...
