Why does Rashford keep pointing at his head™?

He's saying, 'have you seen that thread on the CAF were 80% of the Cafards wanted me sold? Utter headcase the lot of them.'

85%

Suspect there are mental health narratives we don't know about. Rashford and young footballers that is, not the 85%

Hope it gets added to FIFA so I can troll 11 year old kids with this celebration. Anyway why do any reporters never ask him. Instead they ask random shite uninteresting questions all the time

Yeah true. Not sure why the questions to players are always the same banal, useless ones when stuff like this is not picked up on.

Best not to ask, best not to give them the attention they desire.

Getting pissed off that he's not "showing enough emotion" for my own personal bias by doing a celebration that clearly means something to him.

Are you actually adults? Get over your fecking selves, I can't imagine how sad it must feel to get angry about something like that.

Do you need to find some flaw with him now he's scoring goals? It's honestly pathetic.
Spot on . You have to question folks sanity when they are annoyed at a goal celebration. In fact folk are just constantly wanting to be offend by something these days. Next we will hear , that Casemiro and his stupid smiling after he scores.

Crossed my mind that it could be related to mental health awareness. The celebrations started around when Sancho had to take time off and they are friends.

TH told him if he concentrated more the goals would come. Maybe this is what this signifies. This celebration has been done by Neves since he went to the Wanderers,
nothing new.
I just hope now his run has been broken he can start his scoring run up again.

It’s obvious after coming back from such adversity especially after EURO 21 final and the pain and blame he and others received, it’s his way of saying I’m focused, I’ve shut out all the outside noise and I’m doing my thing. I’m here to win and I know how good I am so it’s all in the mind, I don’t listen to what people say anymore.

ETH has done an incredible job with him, let’s hope we see Jadon starting to flourish too. Marcus is now a man, he’s no longer a boy and currently he’s unplayable let’s hope Southgate gives him the love he deserves too and England might actually win something, he’s that good so let’s stop pretending.

Some of us united fans, even in his bad period never wavered, why because we remembered this lad scores goals in big games and he does it consistently.

Let’s hope he gets his 350/400k per week new contract because he genuinely deserves it and united will be better for it.

"Mind over matter, I've finally taken in what ETH has been telling me and its in for good!"

It really is mad how it's blown up since he did it.

Ruben Neves must be fuming

As much as I think it's a lame celebration purely with an eye on trademark licences, hoping to see it rammed down everyone's throats for the foreseeable.

Could also be a psychological thing - pretty sure I read club psychologists (in general, not necessarily at United) tell players to always stick to identical routines no matter what.

It doesn't belong to anyone. Neves has done it before Rashford.

Everyone has done something before. It’s like saying “this Ed Sheeran song isn’t his because Freddie Mercury sang before him”.

Rashford has made it his. Or more to the point, social media has made it Rashford’s.

Are we even sure it's a Rashford thing because to me it has some corporation's marketing department idea written all over it, particularly in terms of how it's crossed sports.

Which is basically nonsense, it's a celebration that isn't trademarked. The whole social media bandwagon can do one.

I think he and Saka and other young footballers are doing it in sync as a message that they shut out the noise and nonsense from the media. And I'm cool with it.

But I find this whole "saka copied Rashford" idea extremely laughable.

But he did. It was a celebration before which no one took notice of. Marcus Rashford started doing it, and thankfully it's coincided with an unbelievable scoring run that means he's done it so often that it has gotten noticed and has started a trend.

I firmly believe Saka did it because Rashford's been doing it.

I wonder if it's some mental health thing in support of Sancho. Rashford's connection is obvious, but Saka has come through the England ranks with him too and a good chance Haaland will have made friends with some of the United youngsters by now.

The more obvious connection would be they've been mates since striking a deadly partnership for Dortmund

Kimmich is in on it too and he has no relation to Sancho as far as I know.

I quite like it and it suits Rashford but I wish we saw more Robbie Keane celebrations.

Why is it even a debate when Saka actually mentioned that he did it because Rashford is his idol.
