This is extremely sad news. Awful news. F***ing unbelievable really.
How can this club progress within it's current structure... we now have opposing fans, literally, laughing at us on a regular basis. It's an absolute shambles.

The strange thing is I don’t really understand any benefit to this to the Glazers. When he announced he was leaving, the club was relatively stable and it looked like it could have been the most successful appointment since Fergie.
As it is, it’s just another failure from Woodward. It’s actually bizarre that they don’t just boot him out. Does he actually have dirt on them from the takeover or something, he’s not even adding anything financially to the club any more.

or, to use a naive hyperbole, the 100s of millions of misused pounds could have gone directly into their pockets instead of paying for flops such as schneiderlin, falcao, di maria, dalot, bailly, lukaku, etc. with the same on-field result.
why not employ somebody who can get the same results for much less money (something very easy, let's be honest. we are burning cash for fun with hardly any success) and pocket the remaining funds??
it's the basic concept of opportunity cost. surely they must be aware that it is in their interest for the club to be run properly.

I hate how the Glazers/Woodward have been able to package a pile of manure shit results on the pitch into a nicely packaged nostalgia heritage box for the fans to lap it up. It's 8 years of fecking disasters on the pitch with zero title bids or CL ambitions (other than to play in the group stages) and instead of the root cause (aka ownership + Woodward) the fans have been engaged in civil war arguing about individual players, or managers, or entitlement of fans, plasticity etc.
