I can't create threads, so I had to bump this one. [Mod edit - new thread created]

Uruguay and Italy are playing, Gimenez scored a hilarious own goal. Belotti (Man Utd target) is looking lively.

In 20 minutes Colombia vs Spain starts. Some nice South America vs Europe interesting encounters.

Darmian nice move
Was going to write that he seems to turn into a different player when he's playing for Azzurri. Then i remembered he was actually good towards the end of the season defensively. Mourinho is doing a good job with him. Most defenders really, shouldn't come as a surprise, though.

Darmian always looks so much better playing for Italy

Spain easily dominating Colombia with Busquets, Thiago and Diego Costa on the bench and the Real Madrid players out of the squad. It's ridiculous how good they are.

Video ref takes 3 seconds to rule Eder's goal as good. "Oh, but technology would slow the game down"

3-0 De Rossi's penalty. Deserved result in the end. Uruguay has created nothing for the whole game.

Australia - Saudi Arabia match, WC2018 qualifiers. Saudi Arabia team refuses the minute of silence for victims of Manchester and London attacks...

- fast forward to 18:00

Disgusting. Shame FIFA won't do a thing.

Not sure what you are complaining about, the entire team stood quietly and respectfully during the minutes silence

Not in their culture apparently. Even so, it's never been an issue before with Saudi teams?

Tomorrow Brazil and Argentina will face off in Melbourne.

Sampaoli's debut, Argentina is using their full strength (they need to 'rehearse' for the qualifiers since they are in a tough spot). Brazil are using an alternative squad and gave Neymar, Marcelo, Dani Alves, Casemiro, Miranda and Marquinhos earlier hollidays. They are already qualified for Russia 18 mind you.

I would of liked if Tite gave more players rest and called some new players.

Huh? The Saudi team didn't refuse anything, they stood silently during the minutes silence.

They are not ignoring it, they just aren't used to being shaped in that formation. In the Americas they also do the moment of silence in the way Saudi's did.
