There will be lots to choose from but because Ive just watched it, Connor McGregor in Roadhouse has to be right up there.

thought exactly the same myself

basically playing a version of himself on speed

such a prick

Yeah it's genuinely up there for me as well. Maybe the only time I've stopped watching a film just because one actor was so shit and annoying.

Andre the Giant in The Princess Bride is a different level of bad.

From famous actors, Adam Driver in Gucci was really terrible, which is weird because I thought he was great in Ferrari. Also Keanu in most of his movies.

I genuinely think it’s this. Some other iconic ones, like Tommy Wiseau or Nic Cage in The Wicker Man, are entertainingly bad/overacted, but Hayden Christensen is so bad and wooden, especially in Attack of the Clones, that I don’t think I’ve seen worse in a professional production. It’s weird because he’s not a bad actor, was great in Shattered Glass for instance. Then again Portman couldn’t make the prequel dialogue work either and was dreadful as well.

Yeah, Keanu truly is the master of shit acting.

McGregor in roadhouse for just pure bad, but at least he’s not an actor. He’s a fighter. So you give some leeway

Nothing beats Ryan Gosling for me, because he’s actually meant to be a professional actor and he’s so bad at it. I don’t know why nobody sees it

I don't want to turn this into a prequel meme thread, but that is just piss poor writing. I don't think the greatest actor in the world could sell that line in a serious manner
The writing is obviously godawful, but Christensen is excrutiatingly bad throughout that film.

Gosling is a superb actor
He’s really really really not. Have you watched the notebook? Him alongside Rachel McAdams is like when they put the X Factor hopefuls on stage with Beyoncé and are completely outclassed and upstaged

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jingle All the Way.

Not one mention of Sofia Coppola in Godfather Part III?

And for all the wooden acting of Hayden Christensen in the Star Wars prequels, Daisy Ridley didn't raise the bar much in the sequel trilogy. Her performances were genuinely more wooden than those of some of the kids in my daughter's school play. They made already awful films a real chore to watch.

Dolph Lundgren in Masters of the Universe springs to mind, too. Even as a 7 year old I was deeply unimpressed.

Thomas Patrick Teresi, who plays Tommy Egan in Power. He's like a cartoon character. Nobody with as loud a mouth as him would be at the top of a drugs empire. He can't keep a secret and tells everyone everything. He's feckin abysmal.

Everything about this is kind of amazing

Yifei Liu in the 2020 live-action remake of Mulan. I don't think I have ever been utterly disgusted by a leading performance from a professional actor than that one. She was just non-dynamic, emotionless and totally in the wrong place like some kind of Mary Sue rather than the original character, who had flaws and doubts of her own before she showed proper growth in the process of becoming a capable soldier.

That one really hurt because I loved the original Mulan animated movie and because I loved Ming Na-Wen's legendary vocal performance.
