If Jones was not made of glass he would be the best CB in the league, do you agree?
Even the great Sir Alex compare him to Duncan Edwards maybe a little flattering but then the injures.
He also played Rafael in midfield over Pogba. Even the best get things wrong.Even the great Sir Alex compare him to Duncan Edwards maybe a little flattering but then the injures.

And Capello compared him to Baresi.Even the great Sir Alex compare him to Duncan Edwards maybe a little flattering but then the injures.
Ramos will be remembered as greater than any of them, but for different reasons. Pique on level with them. Godin is as good as any of them was, as is Thiago Silva. Would have said the same for Bonucci until last summer.Impossible to know really how good he could have been. He's also 26, so he might have his best years still ahead of him or he could have more injuries.
He's not that far off though. Which has more to do with how many decent CBs there are instead of great ones. Not one is close to Vidic, Ferdinand, Terry or Carvalho.
Thread is about the league, not all around Europe.Ramos will be remembered as greater than any of them, but for different reasons. Pique on level with them. Godin is as good as any of them was, as is Thiago Silva. Would have said the same for Bonucci until last summer.

In that case, I agree (thought to be fair, those 4 you mentioned were also among the best in Europe, Rio probably a top 3 CB of last decade). Vertonghen and Alder are arguably the best, but nowhere as near as those 4. Kompany was quite good, Laporte can become great, maybe Bailly and Sanchez too.Thread is about the league, not all around Europe.
Matey, you're an American! No surprise seeing you not rate him.Ramos will be remembered as greater by those who have no clue.
It's a comedy threadIs this a serious thread?
Steady on now. Nobody who knows what they're talking about thinks Ramos is better than Vidic, Ferdinand, Terry or Carvalho. Madrid fanboys and FIFA gamers maybe.Ramos will be remembered as greater than any of them, but for different reasons. Pique on level with them.
