Do you actually think Ole is a good enough manager for a big club?Even when there's a 10 week break in the middle so you can rest?

Well, maybe football is at a time where sticking to a tradition like ''The United way'' or ''The United DNA style of play'' while beautiful, won't quite be enough to compete with the clubs sponsored by billionairesoh but you see he doesnt "Get the club" or something.
Above i said i wouldnt really blame ole before the 1-6 because its clear as day the problem is in the roots of this club ie: the board and woodward. They need to be ripped out. Cutting off the leaves serves no purpose if the roots are rotten. However its hard to defend ole, hes out of his depth too.
Head, meet sand.Way too many reactive people on here, yes we've started off terribly, but we did that last season and it was all doom and gloom and then went on a very good run, which shut a lot of people up. There was a relegation thread on here, ffs, and it was serious.
Obviously we don't want the bad start to continue, but let's get the window over first, at least, shall we...
Me meet another clueless trigger happy clownHead, meet sand.
He can't. Changing backroom staff won't change anything, SAF was great because he was a great leader, not because he had good backroom staff. If he wanted to emulate SAF, he should have brought in a top coach or two to assist him - Ole could have left the backroom staff to get on with the tactics and fitness, while he did the "United legend" cheerleader stuff.
I bid nothing. Unless anyone else bids more please vote sack.My vote is for sale to the highest bidder.
Yup, it's almost like Belichick in the NFL. A good manager/coach makes the hires that he needs and is able to keep replacing them as needed. He can't. Changing backroom staff won't change anything, SAF was great because he was a great leader, not because he had good backroom staff.
For example, when Klopp's assistant left, people said their level might drop as he was the brains behind all the attacking game, since he left Klopp won CL and PL. SAF had Phelan for years and won shit loads of trophies.
SAF changed so many assistants but still won the league comfortable and many times, they make little change, the man in charge makes the biggest impact.
Probably not. Even if he got everything he asked for, City were too far ahead of us at that point for him to win a title before the Mourinho implosion.Would the club had supported Jose over Pogba and got his other requests, can he challenge for trophies. at United?
Well, we should have backed Jose. We didn't. Now we need to back Ole. Going on yet another merry go round of rebuilding is going to break the club. However, I doubt the club will continue to back him. I got a sneaky feeling if the team goes on a losing streak similar to last season, he might just get the chop by Dec. I hope not.Probably not. Even if he got everything he asked for, City were too far ahead of us at that point for him to win a title before the Mourinho implosion.
But I think a big part of the decision to sign Ole as interim, and then give him the permanent job, was to protect Pogba as an asset, the usual Woodward/Judge approach to players. They needed someone who would coddle Pogba and make him feel 10 feet tall and get away with whatever performance level he feels like giving on a particular day.
We could have sold Pogba for probably in excess of £100m at a certain point. Like a lot of things, including the moves for AWB and Maguire, I think that decision is going to look very poor in hindsight.

We won the Europa the prior season. If an 82 point season, second place and winning the Europa didn't warrant backing, what has OGS achieved to merit support? But I fully agree that knowing the clubs decision makers OGS will continue till there's not even top four left to play for. After all we are not a sacking club.
Might get worse. Our upcoming schedule is brutal and we have served up 3 of the worst performances I can remember to start our season.Still can’t believe it. We held six at home. Wow

Don't like Delaney, but he raises some very valid points.Tweet

That’s exactly what we did last season. Moving on from that seems to be the problem.Ole needs to make the defense compact and play on counter. It is not united way, but that's the only way I can think with the kind of players we've got. No point pretending we have FB and make them run up the field. Just gather your shit and make the defense hard to crack first. Things will start falling in place afterward.
Most likely.Probably.
But we all know it'll occur too late before the season can be salvaged.
So post-match talk is more important to you than results on the pitch? We won the Europa the prior season.
Jose didn't deserve further backing after his disgraceful post-match vs Sevilla.
Well result on the pitch vs Sevilla wasn’t good too. We treated them like they were Real Madrid or Barca. So post-match talk is more important to you than results on the pitch?
We lost in embarrassing fashion and then the manager of Manchester United decided to disconnect himself from the club. He should have been sacked that same day.So post-match talk is more important to you than results on the pitch?
We will see won't we?Do you actually think Ole is a good enough manager for a big club?
That's a savage article. Isn't this the first time the media have truly put the emphasis on Ole ? If we can't get any form for October the atmosphere around the club will be toxic.Tweet
