Would you take beating Liverpool in the CL final, but they win the league?

Beating them in the CL final would be amazing. But so is their 20+ year dry spell in the league. It's a tough one. Thoughts?

Yes of course, major silverware is what this club strives for. Thinking/worrying about a rival is exactly the sort of mentality that will have us languishing behind like they did for so many years.

Worry about ourselves only and it won’t matter what they do.

Yes as winning the Champions League is the last game of the season which people remember the most. Moreover shoving four fingers in someone's face makes more sense than shoving three.

Yes, obviously. It would be madness to argue otherwise really.

Would you take a bullet if it meant no more of these pointless fantasy imaginary 'would you rather' threads?

In theory, yes, but sitting through the nerve jangling agony of that final and putting up with a week's worth of gloating from the scousers prior to said final...

Even hypotheically it's really difficult to deal with:lol:

United Champions League winners, City Premier League winners...cheers!

Right now that we are not competing for the EPL title, yes, cause such a glorious title would amaze us all.

If it was Benitez vs. Fergie I would have answered "we will win both of them, especially a final against Liverpool, stupid question".

Yes of course, major injury is what this user strives for. Thinking/worrying about a thread is exactly the sort of mentality that will have us languishing in threads like RAWKites did for so many years.

Worry about ourselves only and it won’t matter what the rubbish thread makers do.

Absolutely daft question. One day liverpool will win the league again. This season or in 50 years. For us to reject Europes crown over then winning the league is no question really, United is all about winning and what is sweater than beating them in the final.

So 20-4 Vs 19-5
Hmmm

I'd be happy with us winning the CL and adding another as our tally there is lower than it should be
These imaginary scenarios will never end, right ?

Well, once the season ends ...

Until next season

This thread again?

Not under any circumstances am I comfortable with Liverpool winning the league.

So I'm going with no.

Foregoing a CL win just to nullify a rival. Absolute madness. It’s not a ‘tough one’ at all, are you insane?

I don't want them to win the league. It has been so long, it would ruin the fun if they ever won the PL. We can always win another CL later anyways;)

Stupid question...

Who cares what other people do if we win major trophies.

To say you’d want them to lose the league and us lose the CL final would be idiotic.

I’d even take the CL beating somebody other than Liverpool in the final.

Would I take “only” an FA Cup or League Cup win though on the proviso LFC win the PL? Got to be honest & say probably not. And yes that is a bit sad.

100%. It’s all about us. Feck Liverpool!

We definitely haven’t made enough of a mark on the CL for a club of our size. It was such a pity we peaked with that Barca team and our best player didn’t want to stick around

Let’s worry about the league next season.

God that would be sweet. Great thread. More like it, please.

Would you suck off Steven Gerrard for 15 seconds if it stopped Liverpool from ever winning the PL?

I'd take beating anyone in the final If it meant them winning the league

In a heartbeat. I don't really care what Liverpool do, but a CL win would be brilliant.

An easy yes. Really not a tough one at all.

They're going to win the League eventually, but us in the same season beating them in the CL final would take it from the awful scenario of them being champions and turn it into the ultimate dream.

Yes. Same with City. Same if we beat fecking Porto in the final.

Are we done with the stupid questions now?
