Yaya at it again

This time I can see him leaving. He's past his best and is part of City's ageing squad that really needs overhauling, something the new manager will have to do. I can see Yaya being one of the first out the door to be honest.

I think they'd love to get rid but its easier said than done.

Who's going to pay him what he's on at City? And they won't pay a big fee either after this years performances.

The United fan in me that hates City wonders if that was his intention when he went to the City in the first place (minus the past it bit).
That is definetely why he went there.. I think he was the highest paid player in the league when city signed him..

His fairly regular play acting does suggest that he's not there for the 'project'. I think Kompany and Hart are different but Toure just doesn't seem as passionate to me.

I hope he leaves, I can't see them being able to find a Toure like replacement for a while. They'll suffer for it, no doubt.

The likes of Pogba/Koke won't be going to City anytime soon.

I do feel sorry for him in a strange way. There aren't many players who hate the club they play for as much as he does and still end up stuck there for the amount of time he has.

Who's the replacement you'd like mate?

Pogba would be the obvious candidate. Like I said though, Yaya is a unique player so his replacement does not have to be similar, just high-quality. Vidal, Matuidi, or De Bruyne for example.

I was at the City v Fat Sam game and my City mates want rid of him. Past his best and time to cash in.

Yeah, some City fans have started to turn on him. His laziness makes him an easy target though, and I'm not having him being made a scapegoat. When he was missing for AFCoN, every City fan was lamenting that he had gone. Now he has returned and all of a sudden he is past his best and should be sold. The fact is, his energy levels and effort have been the same ever since he signed pretty much, yet when he is playing badly it's a huge problem, but when he's playing well it's brushed off.

Let's get one thing clear, Yaya is not doing this as a ploy for more money. He knows what he is on at City is as good as it will get and there is no chance of a pay-rise, unless he completely sells out and goes to some team in the Middle East. Nope, I presume he does actually just want to experience somewhere else before he retires, and who wouldn't rather end their career in Paris or Milan than Manchester?

Asked for a triple choc. cake and only got a plain mud cake.

I know, it's a disgrace. He shouldn't even have to ask for a cake. I mean when was the last time Man City got him something just because? It's about damn time City put some more work into that relationship.

Footballers are slaves, everyone knows this.

Will be an interesting summer for you lot.

Meh. If he leaves, he leaves. I'd much rather have him stay, he's a fantastic and pretty unique player, so not easily replaced. But his legs are going and his wages are huge. If he goes, provided we get a world class replacement, I'd be fine with that. He should still be able to fetch a decent sum, around £15m, and freeing up his wages would be a huge help.

The problem is, why would anyone take on his wages and pay a fee on top of it? He's 32 next month, long past his prime, no resale value, ridiculous wages and his legs are gone. Unless he takes a serious pay cut, I can't see any club out there, apart from those lunatics at PSG to shell out anything close to a fee you've mentioned. This is a huge investment in someone who's basically a season or two away from retirement. Plus, the Italian clubs he's been linked with are not exactly known for their careless spending.

Because only last season he scored 24 goals in 49 appearances as a midfielder. You don't suddenly lose your legs in one season. Yaya Toure has always been a fantastic player, one poor season does not detract from that. If we listed Yaya for sale, we'd have plenty of clubs enquiring about him. Let's not forget the role he played at Barcelona as well. Once his legs have gone he will still be a very useful sitting midfielder, and the role he does in linking defence and attack at City that is so overlooked he will still be able to do effectively. His technical ability is ridiculously underrated at times, Toure is far from a player who relies on his sheer physicality, that's just what makes him so devastating when he is on form. Without it, you still have an immensely talented midfielder.

He seems like a decent candidate to reverse his decline, to me. Might just need new scenery and teammates to get the fire going.

He played CB in a CL final (and was great) and obviously has attacking talent, and I think he's an excellent passer closer to a Kroos or Scholes than people give him credit for (he tends to shine at this when Citeh are overmatched in CL games. Not enough to turn the tide of the game, but enough to get his team out of being pressed to complete devastation).

Unless he's mentally just done like I guess Ronaldinho, then there's no reason he can't just have this period be a dip in an otherwise great career like even Giggs and Scholes had.

He looked back in beast mode yesterday tbf.

He's still a trifik player. He can excel at whatever he chooses to -attacking, passing or defending. Problem is these days he doesn't want to do everything. He'd still be great if you absolve him of one of these duties. Like in the Gerrard or Lampard role behind the striker he'd be immense not having to defend too much.

Yaya Toure "disgusted" and "sickened" by lack of respect in England and does NOT want sons to play football

“I scored 24 goals, 20 in the Premier League (in 2014/15), and nobody mentioned it. No recognition, no trophy, nothing. You understand a bit by disgust," he said

Yaya Toure admits he is disgusted and sickened at not getting the respect he feels he deserves in England.

Midfielder Toure claims he hasn’t received enough recognition for inspiring Manchester City to two Premier League titles and FA Cup and Capital One Cup victories since his £24m move from Barcelona in 2010.

And and the 32 year-old is so angered by his alleged mistreatment that he doesn’t want either of his sons involved in football.

Toure said: “I do not want them to have to go through everything that I have endured. It has hurt me.

“Studying for them - that’s what I told the missus. You know, everyone thinks I am happy: I have won titles, lots of money, but, no, I am not happy.”

Toure was one of City’s star men two seasons ago when he hit 24 goals to help them to a league and Capital One Cup double.

He was unable to replicate that form last season but said: “I have just come out of a season with City where we finished second in the English league, which is the hardest in the world, I scored 12 goals despite the fact that I had to leave the club to join my national team that was playing in the African Cup of Nations, I was out for nearly two months, and I am reproached for not scoring as many goals as last season?

“I scored 24 goals, 20 in the Premier League (in 2014/15), and nobody mentioned it. No recognition, no trophy, nothing. You understand a bit by disgust.

“Here (in England), when it is bad, they stress it, when its good, they leave that in the dungeon. They have always used their little methods to annoy me, to alienate me.

“I often have the impression I am an inconvenience. A lot. Here, things are never said as they should be said.

“We should speak just as much about the positives as the negatives, no?

“Us, the Africans, when we do good work, we like to be recompensed for that, recognised. Because if we are recognised for our true value, we advance faster. That is what I believe.

“For several reasons. When I arrived at City, in 2010, a heard a lot of people say, here, that I was going to kill football!

“I was coming from Barcelona as a player who had not played a lot in the previous months, and they did not understand. The journalists were talking about my salary and saying that it was a disgrace.

“Despite the fact that I had just arrived at the club to help them to progress and to win titles. A lot of people, idiots, I have to say, mocked me when I said that.

“They asked what I, Yaya Touré, was going to change at City. And so, did you see what happened next? We won nearly everything.

“I did it, we did it, because I was not all alone of course, but nobody picked up on it again. In fact, it is recognition that I do not have that hurts me. It is a bit sickening.”

“We are always looking, even today, to find fault in me for insignificant things even though I am doing more and more.”

Ivory Coast star Toure insisted his unhappiness would not force him out of England added in L’Equipe: “One day, in Abidjan, a youngster, 15 years old, stops me and says: “Big brother, you say that you have to always work harder, but we see what you are going through over there. We, we did not get your opportunity and you think that we are going to work like you ask only to be treated like that?”

“You know, young people see through us, they see through their role models and they ask questions.”

 what a big baby. Wtf is wrong with him ? There is no trophy for scoring 20 goals if you're not the top goalscorer, a special one should be made just because his highness Toure wants it ?

I love how he acts like he gets no recognition over here, when in fact he gets almost universally praised as one of the best midfielders in the league and a player any team would be lucky to have.

The cnut.

I liked the part where he's discouraging his kids from entering football due to the hardships hes facing in English football now.

Absolute fecking twat. A total bellend of the highest order. Deluded arrogant self absorbed wanker.

But its not the end of the season yet...Yaya time has come early?
