Meanwhile back at Glazer HQ feck all happens. No value in the market see. Carrick is quality. Scholes hasn't retired. Anderson is the real deal. Hargreaves will be fit.

Y. Toure.
K. Toure.
PL teams dont do first names on the back malarky.
He's a player they don't need to be fair. They already have De Jong and Barry who are fine defensive midfielders, Toure barely possesses any quality that they don't have (except for the ability to play football that is uncommon to Barry, he's fine for a back-up though).
They should probably focus on bringing some width because it seems that Robinho won't stay for much longer and Silva isn't a natural winger, Petrov has already left and I don't think they have anyone else to play on the wing. Oh, they do have Wright-Phillips but he doesn't really count.

This deal is a disgrace.
If this doesn't convince the regulatory bodies that it's time to look into a salary cap, then nothing will and the game is doomed.
How does the City fans feel about all this?
I guess the muppet element among their fans are loving it.
But, the more sensible ones, must be kacking it. If the owners pulled out, the costs of running the club would kill it!
I must admit, I would never have imagined Toure as the highest paid player in the premiership.
hmm...

Kolo Toure gets paid more than Nemanja Vidic and Jonny Evans combined.
It's clear such moves are to cause unnecessary inflation for other teams.
No, no, no!
Won't work, and it should not be up to the authorities to tell anyone 1) how much they can earn and 2) how much a club can afford to pay the players.
It is the clubs' responsibility.

There's no prize for having the lowest sense:money ratio.
But they are irresponsible and therefore should be relieved of that responsibility.
Let's just hope they get some sort of restriction on wages and transfers. It's becoming a bit ridiculous and at the end it's gonna be us having to pay it with fecking tv money and all that shit. It's already way over the top for me.
Irresponsible actions should have concequenses. That will soon enough limit irresponsible actions.
And, the clubs would just find way round payment limitations.
Exactly. That people earn what they do for playing football is a fecking joke already and this latest news just defies belief.
Football needs a radical rethink about where it's priorities lie. In light of our shocking performance and the world cup I can see two priorities that would benefit society as a whole:
1 - Investing heavily in the youth set up
2 - Reducing prices for supporters
Both could be achieved by capping wages at 50 grand per week. feck me, 50 grand a week is already (still) ridiculous when compared to the average worker, even to the average highly paid worker.
It's immoral to reward individuals within football with such wages. We should be laying the foundations for the youth and ensuring that the country that loves football as much as it does is able to enjoy that football by not having to pay through the nose to follow their team and by being able to play the game on good pitches with good facilities etc
It won't happen. It is impossible.
Move on.
Of course it's possible.
Stay where you are.
