I know its a bit silly but its still fun to think about what our best ever squad would be and how it would fair in some mythical tournament in the football heavens against other clubs and their best squads. Here is mine, remember its a 23 man squad that has to have 3 keepers like the international tournaments!

My dad is adiment that Buchan is the best every defender who has played for United. I would have loved to seen him play, apparantly he never really had to make a tackle as he anticipated almost everything on the football pitch. Would you be able to give some insight?

You dad's right. Buchan was a lovely player to watch and he aways seemed to sense where the ball was going. He had great positional sense, was good in the air, and when he did make it tackle, it was usually effective. Not many forwards got the better of Buchan when he was on his game. I was there when he made his debut at Spurs in a 1-2 loss. He stood out with his short back and sides, and his shirt tucked neatly into his shorts. The bloke standing next to me said:"Bloody hell, we've signed a school prefect."

Some absolute gems in there. Had forgotten about Manucho - I remember getting slated on here for writing him off after 10 minutes. :D

Personally I'd bung in Slippery Jimbo and Chris Turner for my shit keepers.
