Currently on 31 points, from a possible 48, having won 6 on the bounce. 66 points to play for still. How many points do you think we'll accrue?

Last season we finished on 64 points, a drop of 25 points from the previous title winning season where we finished with 89 points.

70+ would be ok and 75+ would be good. I think we will manage somewhere between 75-80.

Averaging 2pts per game for rest of the season would be reasonable, a slight improvement on our performance so far. That would give us around 75 pts.

We are still liable to make mistakes and we have been a little lucky in recent games so anything over 75 would be great.

83 points.

With 2 games left to play in the first half of the season, which we should win we should end on 39 points.

I expect us to do a bit better in the second half of the season. Matching it would get 78 points, I think we will pick up around 5 points more. We'll narrowly be beaten to 2nd by City and Chelsea will finish on around 88-92.

Late night? There's 3 games left in the first half and we actually can't get 39 - 38 or 40 work.

There should be a 78-83 option ... Would be my choice. Went for 74-79 though. Think we'll get 7 points in our next 3 games, leaving us on 38 after half the season, which goes to 76 if we keep the same pace though I think we'll improve so probably around 80.

Went with 86+. We've got to do better in the reverse fixtures with our first 5 opponents. And if we do about the same against the rest we'll be golden. (I am sort of assuming that we'll win the next three.)

Think we'll get stronger in the second half of the season, injuries providing.
Somewhere between 80-85. Which should be enough for 3rd.

If we maintain form and stick to an average, I make it 74.

But assuming we don't have Leicester, West Brom or Swansea like slip-ups again, I'd expect us to improve our average points per game.

I'd say 80 is achievable and we'll be 2-3 either side of that.

i think we won the league with 78 points in the treble season, i might be wrong. Funny how 78 would probably not be enough to win the league these days

76 points, having 22 wins, 10 draws and 6 defeats.

Think we'll finish third, 10 points off Chelsea and 5 above Arsenal in 4th.

74-79

If we're extremely lucky with injuries and get the occasional result or two that is very lucky due to a poor decision or something like that, we could push 80, although about 76-78 seems more likely for me right now.

Between 74 and 79. I think we could end the season in title-winning form, but I still expect us to lag behind Chelsea and City for a few months yet and I don't see is coming into contention for a concerted title challenge.

Interesting. I think we can reach the 80 point mark if we have truly shed the mentality there was in the team last season. Two extra wins on the trot would put us on 37 points with 60 left to play for. The quality players to come back, Falcao yet to be integrated and we've got options in January. We might even have a settled defense if we get some luck.

Ah good spot, for some reason I had it in my head that we were on 33 from 17 and was working from there.

Same sentiment though, we should win the next 3 and be on 40 and then improve on that in the second half to get 83ish.

I went for 74-79 points because while this team is capable of beating anyone, I feel that we have rode our luck too often recently and got away with it. (largely thanks to DDG!!) That surely won't last forever and I can see it costing us a few points during the season.

Having said that, I think that around 74 points should comfortably be enough for a top 4 finish

Well, if this season will go exactly like last season after 16 games and no transfer will be made in January then that table has quite big probability of happening:

Chelsea - 95
City - 88
United - 77
West Ham - 71
Southampton - 68
Newcastle - 63
Arsenal - 60
Swansea - 55
Liverpool - 54
Everton - 53
Stoke - 53
Tottenham - 48
West Brom - 45
Queens Park Rangers - 41
Crystal Palace - 40
Aston Villa - 38
Burnley - 35
Sunderland - 31
Leicester - 28
Hull - 23

Don't you trust me? :(
All I knew (as has proven to be true) is that people would call you out on some of those predictions so I did it just in case. Especially since you said there's a 'big possibility' of it being accurate.

Seriously though, West Ham on 71? Spurs on 48? Even ones like Hull to take 10 points from their remaining 22 games? Don't see it.

QUITE big possibility meaning not impossible. :P

Also no transfers have to be made and that's impossible. No new injuries. Just computer analysis of current form and fixtures yet to be played.

Last year I did something similar after 23 games. Was hilarious aswell. But guessed Hull points. :D

I guess I need less hooch.
