Also, Howsen had an absolute mare earlier.

He said Whitwell was not a real journalist and mugged him off. This is so thick considering Paddock rely on Athletic correspondents to give them a guest interviewon the show.

Howson is a weird one because I find him to be ok at times and then totally insufferable at others.

I haven't seen it so I don't have the context/the way he said it, but I think they're friends and Howson usually banters him as such.

Fwd to 9mins 10 seconds.

Very daft to way to talk about an Athletic journalist. Regardless of how friendly he thinks he is with them.

That would be weird because I've seen him praise Whitwell before.

Yes. The issue isn’t refusing to pay 80m for Antony or us being slow. The issue is he’s seemingly the only option and we don’t ever move on to other targets.
United's main issue is this power struggle between the manager on one side and the football side of the board on the other hand. Each transfer window was heavily influenced by one getting the upper hand on the other whether its this window or last year window (the manager is winning/had won) and the infamous 2018 or 2020 windows (the board won)). Both 'factions' has its weak spot. Managers tend to know exactly who would fit into their system but they lack time to scout for alternatives and some can't be bothered thinking about the future. That means that United end up fixating on a transfer which in turn makes us easy prey of being taken to the cleaners. The board on the other hand tend to think about the future (Diallo, Pellistri, Hannibal etc) but would struggle to see how that fit in the manager's immediate plans.

The trouble with United is that we lack people on top who understand how football work and who have the reputation and experience to sit down with the manager and discuss alternative options. Take last season for example. We bought Varane despite knowing he was injury prone, we stuck with Ole for far too long, we brought Rangnick in as temporary coach despite the fact that he has been sporting director for most of time in the past decade and we allowed our chief scouts and our transfer negotiator to go during the transfer window. Can you blame ETH for not trusting these clowns?

He has some outlandish opinions for sure. I agree with some of them, too. It’s the fact that he sees the game differently than everyone else who tries this United fan channel stuff I like. He’s very in depth on why he thinks what he does. It’s also cool that he’s been a United fan for as long as he has. He’s been through pretty much all of it. The fact that he seems like a genuinely nice guy is just the cherry on top!
I agree,he really seems like a nice guy and i like that he has his own opinions, and to be fair he was right when we were at our worst Mata and Matic did play better.

He can be funny even without meaning to,a breath of fresh air.

He's always been insufferable. He just loves the attention.

If we signed Antony for 80m and he flopped in a year or twos time he'd be saying it was a joke spending all that on him. He's done this countless times. Such a bleeding hypocrite.

I can't watch him anymore. He's just poison. Spreads negativity for YouTube cash.
You've been here well enough to know that I love a good moan. However even I is finding Goldie unsufferable. His fandom towards Ronaldo and his constant attacks against Murtough is beyond reasonable. Don't take me wrong, I do believe that United is poorly run. Having said that, he had reached a stage where everything is being blamed on Murtough which is kind of crazy. Take the De Jong saga as an example. The club had agreed a fee with Barca, De Jong doesn't want to move and despite all that ETH is still fixated about him and he keep refusing to consider any alternatives for the Dutch midfielder. What the feck can Murtough do about that?

yeah, negativity sells. No one's questioning that. Look at AFTV in its pomp.
This is actually a lie and just proves all of you positive warriors (i.e. deluded people) are just making it as you go. His channel has done best in the past when there's optimism and actual success (EL win) around the club.

You might get the occasional video with a spike where rival fans come to laugh at you but solid views and good awareness is when the fans of the club, and United has a lot of those, want to watch about what the club's doing. People get tired of negative news but they're much more willing to listen if they feel something good is on the horizon.

AFTV is also a bad comparison which just proves you people have no idea what you're talking about. They were basically a first mover on the scene but nowadays there's all kinds of fan channels for every club, so have to compete with them. This is why Robbie's made his DR Sports channel which I find boring, personally.

 positive warriors, I like that. I like a good moan but it seems for you someone needs to constantly moan to not be branded deluded. ook.

And ofcourse, moments like EL wins and such will have good views. But over the season, just a quick look at the list of the videos in his channel and his clips channel, you can see what sorta videos do well vs which don't. And with AFTV, lets not pretend their growth was just because of them being the first movers (even then there were other fans channels with bigger fanbases around that time). The growth had a hell of a lot more to do with those viral videos with Troopz, DT, Claude etc etc ranting. Though, fair dues to Robbie for being able to capitalize on that and now turning it into a channel that makes really good content.

And anyways, "negativity sells" is a not a new concept and it doesn't just apply to youtube channels.

Someone else asked earlier, what positive thing has happened to United in the past year, except for ten Hag? There's your answer.

Wow. You're defending Murtough. Goldbridge must really be awful.

Goldbridge can be a hard listen. He makes some good points, but they often get lost in amongst the childish arguments such as 'you don't understand football' or the 'I told ya/I was right' type crap. I'd say the worst part of the show is the analysis and the best part is seeing Goldbridge get things wrong sadly.

So I recently took his advice after around a month of watching and have decided to 'jog on' because the crap quickly began to outweigh the positive aspects of the show.

 I mean it’s quite clearly a joke and they’re clearly friends or at least know each other well enough that the comments would clearly be seen for what they are. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

And Donny, I saw a clip of him saying Donny was MOTM yesterday and his work comes more off the ball.

He played as a CM, we need him on the ball.

He's always been a bit petulant but he's getting a bit ridiculous.

His inability to share his platform with anyone else is going to lead to the decline of the channel. He seems like a control freak that is not willing to let go and his whole business model relies on his personality. The fact only the bland and the boring are left there is clear to see.

Flex joining him was the best thing to happen to him and he lost him. Not sure why but I suspect it was because he didn't want to relinquish any % ownership in the business.

Yeah I only click on the Goldbridge vids and if I accidentally click one by the other hosts I'm usually switching videos quickly.

United view has the chance to become the main united fan channel in opinion. Flex had got very good links with sky etc. Much rather they ask United view for their thoughts on united than a player who doesn’t really watch us.

Goldbridge talks utter click bait nonsense. Saw him this morning waffling on about preparation for preseason and liking his expierence of his Tuesday night tea of eating Findus crispy pancakes and chips to premiership players. Embarrassing

Calm and collected. United View has an actual trajectory for growth. What flex, KG, Owen and Josh have accomplished in a short amount of time is remarkable.

The algorithm will always favour Goldbridge and outrage because it garners the most engagement.

But class will always rise up.

Goldbridge needs to be shot into the sun.
He's had an absolute mare today. Hahahahaha

His sources over the Ronaldo thing were the voices in his head as expected. The club haven't said they'd given them permission at all. He just surmised they had been and he's been caught out in his own lie.

He's more toxic than Jose and LVG at a Ex Utd Manager reunion. Anyone who watches him for 'information' needs to see a doctor. He's a bleeding joker and always has been and sadly he's created a lot of toxicity in our fanbase to line his pockets.

Well I thought it would be nice to shine some light on one of the few very good United channels. This anylisis of Uniteds match vs Brighton by Atlastis Football is fantastic!

The only one I can really watch is Stretford Paddock, probably because I'm biased and I'd prefer to listen to match-going Mancs talk about United.

When that fella on United Peoples tv refers to United as "My club" it makes me want to throw up in my mouth.

Every time I attempt to watch that the presenters are waffling about nothing and pretending they're comedians, especially the lad with the long hair and beard and the black baldy guy. Makes it unwatchable. Someone needs to let them know they're really not funny.

Depends on what you watch. Some of their shows are loosely football related.

I find them funny on occasion, it’s almost as if humour is subjective? Who would have thought?

I enjoy United Peoples TV. Pretty balanced coverage and not really clickbaity. I blow hot and cold on United Stand. I enjoy it as background noise sometimes but Goldbridge really is a tier one straw man builder who likes to claim others have agendas when clearly, he does.

Do any of them actually go anymore? Howsen misses most games with his amateur team, McKola does the kickoff and the others are in the studio. I know they definitely used to but they've got other things going on now most of the time as far as I can tell.

Anyway, regards the fan channel thing. Goldbridge has to be taken in very light doses. People get way too worked up about it, watch it for the occasional partridge style rant and move on, he's not to be taken seriously. Can't stand Howsen's personality usually. Major Billy big bollocks vibes and overly aggressive and hostile. The others on Paddock have had some of the most clueless opinions I've ever heard, especially Joe. I don't watch them that much though so maybe there's one of the lesser known ones who speaks some sense. Motty does a decent roundup of the tabloid gossip and in general comes across quite well I think.

McKola still seems the best overall to me, although I've only ever heard good things about flex I should probably watch him more and see what he's all about. I remember it being touted as a big loss for Goldbridge when he left.

As someone who watched United stand for Flex and Rants it was a very big loss. Flex is a dedicated match going fan who did all the fan cams, and he ultimately says it how he see's it its not outrage or negativity for negativitys sake and there doesn't feel like there is any arrogance there.

Owen and KG are also really good at United view with him too KG is hilarious and Owen is a natural presenter.

For me its the most balanced between entertainment and dry analysis, usually its one or the other with these fan channels. Iits been quite negative with them recently (though they were positive for most of the summer) and i guess that's to be expected with where we are right now, would check out something like their upload on Arnoutovic and see what you think that's naturally where it started to shift so it should be a good sample.

Saw "Vibe with Five" today with Rio, Howson and Joel the Arsenal fan.

When said that Arsenal fans are deluded its not for nothing, bloody hell.

Saw Joel say today that when in form - Thomas Partey is better than Casemiro

Mate, Partey can't even clean Casemiro's boots, what you're on about ?

My brothers an Arsenal fan, trust me when I say this they’ll tell you their groundsman is better then Casemiro, most of them are full of shit so just ignore them. Vibe with Five for me is the best football show on YouTube, I know Rio is biased to Ronaldo which is fair enough but it’s top quality especially when they take the piss out of Joel.

I'll have to give Vibe with Five another chance. The few shows I watched earlier this year were pretty horrible, but form can indeed change on a dime.
