Tevez refused to play

I'm glad that Fergie's decision to let him go has been vindicated by his actions. Where are those Fergie sign him up, we're poor etc people now? And for the record, Berbatov and Hernandez both scored more goals than Tevez ever did for us in a season, last season.

No offence man but didnt Fergie say United offered him a contract?

Dont know whether this has been posted, but in case it hasnt - here's is without question the most idiotic & deluded feck i've heard about in sometime. Ladies & gents - i give you Italian agent Peppino Tirri :wenger:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Old Trafford boss could make move for Etihad Stadium misfit according to this agent.

Following a tumultuous few months at Manchester City, Carlos Tevez may be preparing to make a sensational return to former club and bitter rivals Manchester United according to agent Peppino Tirri, after falling out with current boss Roberto Mancini and finding his position at Eastlands untenable.

Italian agent Peppino Tirri has now stunningly hinted that Tevez could be ready to make a sensational return to Manchester United – a club he scored 19 goals for but ultimately left on unsavoury terms with in 2009 – with limited offers coming in for the unsettled forward at present.

“I really think at this point Tevez will be sold during the next market window,” Tirri revealed.

“Where will he end up? I think the hypothesis is not currently viable at Inter: Inter do not need him, they have already forwards like Forlan, Milito, Pazzini, Zarate and Castaignos.

“The same is true when it comes to Real Madrid. More plausible is the road to Juventus which would certainly be more convenient.

“Do not discard the possibility that he could still stay in England and maybe return to United. :wenger::wenger:

I think he´ll go to Inter as a desperation signing that will backfire and Inter will miss Europe.

He's a plague, but Aguero will do.

City will be thanking their lucky stars (Sheik what'shisname?) for all their millions.

Taylor of the PFA has just distanced himself from Tevez, saying on Talksport that his position is now untenable.

City have just released a statement that they have started legal proceedings against Tevez.

You couldn't make this up.

PFA "disappointed" by Tevez trip
Tevez accepts misconduct charge
Manchester City player Carlos Tevez has been condemned as selfish by an MP in the House of Commons.

Jim Sheridan has tabled a Commons motion after the striker was fined for refusing to warm up during a European Champions League tie at Bayern Munich.

The Paisley and Renfrewshire North Labour MP said Tevez, 27, epitomised "what is wrong with modern football".

He also backed TV pundit Graeme Souness who described the player as a "bad apple" and a "disgrace to football".

The motion added that "professional football players are paid to play and the Football Association and Sky Sports should support Graeme Souness in any future legal action against him for expressing his views".

Fine halved
The Argentinian was found guilty of committing five breaches of contract in the game against Bayern Munich on 27 September, an investigation by Manchester City found.

Manager Roberto Mancini wanted to bring Tevez on as a substitute with 35 minutes left but he refused to warm up.

City lost the game 2-0.

Tevez was fined four weeks' wages over the incident but that was halved following intervention from the Professional Footballers' Association.

It is anticipated Tevez will leave the club, either on loan or permanently, in January

Totally agree with this. I see him going down over this saga.

Hope the f*cker gets fined up the arse and loses out on his salary. Disgusting behavior. I hope no one takes the punt on him.

I would say he has more money than sense, btu he could be bankrupt and that would still be the case.

So is he just being really badly advised? I can't believe that to be the case, considering his slimey entourage usually have his legal bases covered, but i don't see a) how he'll come out of this a winner and b) how he won't come out of this a massive loser. Is his whole case predicated on the lost in translation / Mancini's word against his argument?

Its getting better. Citeys legal advisers looking into the possibility of terminating his contract BUT keeping his registration, then suing him for damages and lost monies from the transfer.

Tevez advisers now stating its all a misunderstanding and an unnamed backroom staff member seemed to give the green light for him to feck off back to Argieland but that this might off been misinterpreted by poor Carlos as he doesn't speak the lingo.

Same adviser then states that poor Carlos was missing his family and had tried desperately to reach Mancini for permission to leave but was unable to. So he did one anyway.

Another twist is that poor misunderstood Carlos has a new adviser and that slimy shite Kia Joorabchian is notable by his absence.

Wasn't it reported that he specifically asked for permission and was turned down twice? How the feck can he hang this one on miscommunication.

It gets better. Atleast with all the good at City on the pitch, im still get a laugh at thier expense off it. Thank god for Tevez.

Welcome to Manchester.

Not twice but several times.

However, in his defense poor misunderstood Carlos personally left over 10 voicemails and text messages to Mancini, this by a man who cannot communicate with Mancini without an interpreter and who used this excuse for the misunderstanding when he didn't come on against Bayern.

Gordon Taylor now stating that Tevez has left himself wide open for termination of his contract and if this happens Citeh will look to sue him for his market value, with a figure of £30 mill be touted. This would be settled by a tribunal.

Theres more. Citeh could also sue for damages and that this will also include lost revenues from shirt sales etc which again could go into the millions. Should Tevez decide to fight (which he most certainly will) and then lose, which he most certainly will he will probably lose the case for paying for Citehs legal bill as well.

To top it off, there is the possibility that Fifa will get involved and ban the Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime from football for years, which, will leave the player over the hill should he return to football and be unable to get back the millions he could/should potentially lose.

I'm sure Joorabchian will somehow manage to setup some kind of trust fund for Tevez with City getting about $30 out of him and them keeping all the money down the years.

hes a complete mercenary, no big team will give him a long term contract or a huge signing on fee anymore

pay as you play Carlos, see how you like that one

He's done a very good job of making me not bothered in the slightest about his going to City. One of the funniest things to happen in football for a long time.

Lets hope Hargreaves trashes their medical room with his haircut soon

Corinthians marketing director Luis Paulo Rosenberg believes the club would be making a mistake if they re-signed Carlos Tevez.

Tevez, currently on an unauthorised break in Argentina, is expected to leave Manchester City in January and Corinthians have openly discussed the possibility of bringing back their former captain. Rosenberg, though, feels it would be a costly error.

"Enough with signing old players," he said in quotes reported by FutNet. "In marketing terms it would be successful, but financially, and for the morale of the team, it would not be a good idea overall."

Well thats one down Carlos.

Corinthians trying to lower the fee again I see....

I hope City hold on to him and hang him out to dry.

I don't buy that, no rep of a club would openly say that this player would "lower the morale of the team" just to try to get him on the cheap. They mean it.

Cannot agree more with your second sentence.

Manchester City order AWOL Carlos Tevez back to England | The Sun |Sport|Football

MANCHESTER CITY will hit Carlos Tevez with a £600,000 fine for going AWOL — and could even sack him if he does not return quickly.

Tevez should have trained yesterday but instead remained in Argentina after flying out on Monday for a break.

Last night Tevez's representatives could not say when he would return.

By not turning up he is in serious breach of his contract and City will hit the £198,000-a-week star with a three-week fine.

If he continues to be absent beyond a proposed meeting on Monday, things could get more serious.

City could sack him but hold on to his registration so any club taking him on would be liable at a tribunal to pay City his worth — around £30million.

Tevez, already fined two weeks' wages for refusing to warm-up in Munich, asked coach Fausto Salsano if he could have this week off. He was told 'no'.

The same message was relayed by stand-in chief executive John MacBeath directly to Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian at the weekend.

But Tevez's camp claim the answer from Salsano was ambiguous, which City deny.

They also claim their player tried to contact boss Roberto Mancini directly but was ignored.

Manchester City have confirmed they are still waiting for Carlos Tevez to make contact with them following his return to Argentina.

Tevez failed to report for training on Wednesday having flown home on Monday.

City have now given the 27-year-old until Monday to report back but as yet have not heard from the player.

A club spokesperson said: "We have asked Carlos to get in touch today but have not yet heard from him."

Representatives for Tevez had no comment to make on the matter today.

The latest Tevez controversy comes after it emerged on Tuesday that he would not be appealing against a club fine of two weeks' wages - believed to be around £400,000 - for five breaches of contract.

City found Tevez guilty of misconduct after concluding that he refused to play in the Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich on September 27.

Tuesday had been a scheduled day off for Tevez but, as he had not been selected for international duty, was then expected at training on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Tevez said at the time that the player had made several unsuccessful attempts to contact City boss Roberto Mancini about his journey home before embarking upon it.

The spokesman said: "He was told it was Roberto Mancini's decision as to whether or not he could go and he left numerous voice messages and texts on Mancini's phone.

"He didn't receive a response at all. He then flew to Argentina and tried to speak to Mancini again on Tuesday, leaving messages and texts. We've had no response."

Tevez could face further disciplinary action from the club over this latest incident.

The striker has been frozen out of the first-team picture since the infamous game at the Allianz Arena.

He was suspended for two weeks while an investigation was conducted and was then asked to train alone, and later with the youth team, after returning.

Just misunderstanding and miscommunication again. Nothing to see here. Tevez did not understand what the international break meant as no one told him what to do.

He doesn't care, he wants them to cancel the contract. If I were the sheik I'd hold him to his contract and make him train with the reserves for 2 years.

It would be funny if they refused to release his registration and he spent a couple of years tied up in litigation. Sadly he's too high profile for that to happen.

I think the sheik should take the high road here. Manchester City is on the rise and you don't want a shit like Tevez bringing any negative publicity to your team.
If that is what he wants, just cancel him and wish him well. He has disgraced himself and everyone knows it, well except Hughes.

What sort of precedent does that set? feck that, string him up by his stupid balls.

FIFA have a 6 month ban (or rather won't allow him to register with a new club) in the rules for breach of contract. Not a big penalty for someone who seems happy to lose months every year on contract disputes. So I doubt either side sees it as much of a threat.

The rules on compensation are less obvious, it may be that City can't get much back if they terminate the contract, not even from the club he eventually signs for.

He does yeah, be interesting to see if he can be arsed to turn up.

Apparently he's sent City a medical certificate from Argentina explaining why he can't return.

About right.

Although maybe just dense rather than nuts. The guy really is virtually brainless, so we shouldn't mock.
