First time I saw this guy. I thought Bayern have some player in their hands. What do you think of him ?

He's been solid anytime I've seen him. Seen him play left back, left winger and central midfielder. Think he's naturally a lefty.

I definitely remember him shifting the ball onto his left tonight.

Only 19 too. Impressive.

I meant that he likes to be out left, be it wing or full back. The foot was a given.

I don't speak German but I understand that Austrian-German dialect is supposedly funny in Germany. Schwarzenegger couldn't even dub himself despite speaking fluent German because of it.

Played on the right at least once and looked comfortable there when I saw him. He's been talked about for a while now as Austria's next big thing but up until this season I didn't really see the fuss. Definitely been impressed this season though. With his pace it's easy to stick him out wide but I do think he'll end up in the middle primarily.

his preferred position is CM. plays there for austria as well. Has done very well as a lb though and I also think he's actually better there

Bayern have a few very good, solid talents that they bring up now. Seems like thats the way forward with buying a top player here and there

He was quite impressive last night. Made some great runs down the wings and did well defensively too.

Failing a Jib anywhere, anyhow
Would be an excellent successor to Evra.
Bayern are a brilliant club, my favourite of the European super clubs.

There really isn't any chance we would sign anyone from Bayern. They are on an equal standing in the game to us, and have a young exciting team. Seen loads of this over the years, 'Schweinsteiger, Muller, Robben, Ribery, Lahm, Kroos' ... Bayern wouldn't sell to us, and I doubt we'd even try.

Before anyone talks about Hargreaves, he wasn't vital to their team and they got an absolute mint for him from us.

Hargreaves was a very important player for them the season before his last at Bayern, 05/06 I think. It was just his broken leg combined with his desire to move that meant Bayern were willing to sell.

Seen him a few times now and he looks quite good, only 19 too. Incredibly harsh to give the penalty nevermind booking him and getting him suspended. That run to set up Robben was brilliant.

fecking hell, some bollocks to step up first, looks a top player. Reminds me of Patrice too. Did he used to be a winger or did I imagine that?

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Really sorry for the lad that he won't be playing in the final.

He really made an impact on the Bayern game since he moved from being a midfielder to playing as the left FB for them in the second half of the season.

Bayern's best player tonight with Schweinsteiger as far as I'm concerned. Still a shame that he has to miss the final on account of that yellow.

Some confidence to step up and take the first spot kick, great performance

Gutted for him missing the final now, unlikely but can they appeal it? Thought it was a very harsh decision myself

Hang on, Jones needs to learn to actually defend first.
Admittedly, Jones is in a poor run of form lately. But right at the start of the season and for most of the time before January, he was consistently one of our best players no matter which position he played in. Definately was a revelation at right back with his marauding runs into the final third and he scored/assisted a few too.

Having said that im always more biased towards our own players nor have I seen too much of alaba in the bundesliga. :D
