Ouch, reality bites.

It gets worse with every game. Same old problems that were there from the first game away to WBA. Fragile and too many average at best players. You wonder how much worse our defence can get, and then the next game comes along and they're even worse again.

No chance of turning em around on current form at Anfield, well not without Sturridge to occupy em with Suarez. Simply because they'll score as our defence has gone to pot.

So season over in Feb then. Out of all the cups and languishing mid table, not having beaten a team in the top half all season. Manager's signings have left a lot to be desired, with most of em hardly getting a game these days.

And some ostriches still argue this is progress of sorts, and convince themselves we're gonna play like Barca.

It's shitsville. Almost give up caring anymore.
Rodgers and the players have a lot of questions to answer I'm afraid. Just because he is young and been in the job less than a year doesn't absolve him from everything.

We as a team, as a club are worse off now than we were at the start of the season. Rodgers and the players need to take the responsibility for that and need to show they can turn it around.

I would love to give Rodgers 5 years to learn his trade at the top table, make mistakes and gradually improve us. But we as a club don't have that luxury.

You can bet your arse the Mancs aren't replacing Ferguson with a rookie manager. City won't replace Mancini with a rookie.

We are supposedly a top club with Champions League ambitions. Yet most of our squad are not used to being in a top performing, expect to win side.

Other than Suarez we haven't signed a player who 100% without question improves us and its worrying me.
Fuk tha la, sak Rogers and sell Clarice Starling, Floppio Porcini n Ray Allen they waz fukin shit.
we overrate our squad to the maximum. I don't think the likes of Agger, Skrtel, Johnson and co are anywhere near as good as we think.
Our fan-base continually harks back to Moores selling to the yank in the first place, yet we were the biggest drivers in getting him to sell and as a fan himself he sort of realised he couldn't take us any further.
Your a man for stats Al, whats the one constant that we haven't stopped doing over the last 20+ years?.... sacking managers no more than 5 years in post. We need to go long term with out manager.

Some wonder why Everton have been coming good of late, simple, they've stuck with a manager and backroom structure for 10 years and now they're starting to reap the benefits. We have to follow the same path. Regardless.
'm tired of being unlucky. It has to be something deeper.
Ding ding!!

It's ok lads, brush it off and onto the next defeat game
Banned for that!

Mid table side visits top Russian team and gets bummed 2-0

No surprises here.

Shame we've been spending like a top 4 team though.

Transfer policy summed up by Harry Enfields 'I saw you coming'

More positivity later
Don´t forget the leadership we are lacking for years now and that´s true especially for our senior star players.

I disagree on those three players but it´s the consequence of years of shite transfer policy for whatever reason. The current players and Rodgers are not the result of one transfer summer or a couple of decisions of last summer, in contrast it´s the consequence of YEARS of mismanagement.
Who? KKK and Rafa?

There are 2 birds in the pub , i get lucky as they cant be arsed with my mates, I take one home and shag her. She wakes up and thinks oh my god, what have i done , the week later the bird is the pub again, all my mates are looking good and sober, do you think she will go for me again?
Supposed to be a metaphor for Liverpool's demise and failure to attract top quality signings, apparently.

So basically from that he's saying that he's Liverpool, all other teams are his mates and the girls are the trophies/signings.

And then that means that the only reason they had success back then was because all the other clubs fecked up, which could be pretty true looking at United (the more handsome mate) in the 70's and 80's/

Apt actually.

Fair play to you for even attempting to decipher it. I gave up at "im".

Not only ugly, he's illiterate as feck, too!

And we also need a blockbuster signing. I've said it before, FSG has to accept that because of where we are, we are going to have to pay over the odds this summer to right the ship. One player I have been thinking a lot about, and this is no dig at Pepe (His service has been superb, but it seems his heart is no longer here), is Neuer just throw money at him £60-90M.

I'm sure Manuel Neuer is relishing the prospect of leaving one of the top two best teams in Europe to go and play for the 9th best team in England.

Don't worry, folks, the delusion is still well and truly alive:

It's funny isn't it. I would say that besides Suarez (who has been pretty average the last few games), Johnson is the only world class player we have in our squad. I will go out on a limb and say Johnson would get into most top sides in the world. I struggle to think of a list of right backs who are head and shoulders back. Amazing that people want to ship out the players keeping us afloat.

I'm talking about Sturridge. Allen , Borini , assaidi , Sahin did nothing to our first 11
They've been here six months mate. Borini has been injured for 3 of them. Leighton Baines, who a lot of people on here think is the best LB in the world, couldnt get into the Bitters team for a year, he was so shite. De Gea, Jones, Nani, Fatty Anderson et al were/are all shite at Man Utd for a long time. Gareth Bale was shite at Spurs. I'm quite sure we can all come up with players of a similar ilk?

There's some doubt about whether it's at Anfield though, ant.
No one mentioned Anfield though, or did they? I completely ignored that bit as I assumed it referred to a perspective from Anfield, not something actually taking place there.

I thought the gag was about Brent's comment bearing no relation to reality, so he just substituted another random cliche... "those fantastic European nights at Anfield"... that similarly bore no relation to the game.

I guess we'll never know though, not unless Nogbad turns up and fecking well explains himself.

Can anyone tell me who was commentating on the Liverpool game today? I missed it and I am not very good with commentators. Its the one that always sounds like hes got about 15 minutes to live when a goal is scored against an English team I want to know who is.

Peter Drury and Jim Beglin, I bet Jim Beglin is the one you are looking for though.

The game was on ITV so i would presume it would be Peter Drury and Jim Belgin.

Laudrup has the Rodgers system fully implemented so all he has to do is tweak it a little, all the Swansea players are comfortable with the system.

Clearly they have the best minds available to them working on this one. If that doesn't work another one they should be thinking about a lot is Messi. Just throw £300-561m at him, job's a good 'un.

Rodgers really isn't helping himself with his post match comments. It's like he's trying his best to wind them up.

yes, it was a lighthearted play on the disconnect of reality and whatever is uttered by brenton.

I went to bed thinking it was one of my better posts, now its been analysed as if it were a shakespeare play, its ruined.

I may never get over it.
