Would be a bit sad, but I doubt it would influence Rafael's career with us in any way. They have both spoken about growing up even more by being apart. However, I think that having them together for the first few years was very important.
I personally didn't want Fabio going out on loan, he needs to stay here and fight IMO, he isn't getting a lot of game time at QPR to make it DEFINITELY worth it...

Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.
Hypothetically, what would happen to Rafael if we sold Fabio? Or loaned him out again with an option to buy, I presume Rafael would stick here, but you never know?
He won't be sold by us in the near future since he can do quite a nice job injuries permitting. The only way he is going to leave is if he wants to and that in no way affects Rafael's role here.

I don't think it will affect Rafael to much now. Both have mentioned how being apart has helped them this year to develop and mature.

Saying that I can't see fabio going anywhere right now. He should be back with our squad next season and rotated with evra. While we loan Buttner out instead.

????

He's been first choice for pretty much all of his loan when he's not been injured.

He's played 15 league games out of 28, he was injured for a bit, so he's doing well.

Really is gonna be difficult to give him game time here next season, Evra's had his best season in years. Wouldn't send him to that wreck of a club again anyway, the Championship will do him no good.
Maybe we'll see a gradual transition from Evra to Fabio next season, with the two splitting the games.

He can be first choice backup for both RB and LB. Should get plenty of game time.

Evra as he grows older will probably need more rest too. He has been bit of a freak so far playing game after game without much rest.

Think, if he had more competition then he would have gotten more rest anyway but Buttner has been dodgy.

I say we bring him back to OT and work him into a rotation with Evra.

As for Buttner? I like him a lot but I don't see him as a better option than Fabio.

He'll not only be in rotation with Evra. But Rafael too, imo.

his versatility means he could end up with at least 20-30 appearances for us. evra might need more rest next season and fabio is more than capable of deputizing his twin brother.

I think it's obvious we brought Buttner in as backup. At just £4m and the fact he's still young, he could make a good career here as a backup seeing as Evra will be 32 at the start of next season and he plays in a position that requires pace and stamina, it's fair to assume his performances will decline soon and hopefully Fabio will be making Rafael sized strides when he does.

Saw a couple of photos of a "funkeira" called Valeska Popozuda (literally Valeska Big Ass Girl) visiting him in London. She's doing some show in England and stopped by. She works out in the same gym as me, damn she's huge. And hot.

Hopefully having him back will see an end to Smalling covering at right back. Obviously he can cover the postion if required but he needs games in his natural position.
I would love to see a all Da Silva side. One brother at RB, other on the wing.

Yup, I've said the same a few times. Imagine how confusing it'd be for the opposition left back and left winger when they overlapped. Plus we can assume they'd have a near telepathic connection.

The leap from being a full back that's great going forward to being a winger is huge. I'm not sure either Da Silva would be good enough primarily as a winger.

Fabio has already shown that he looks lost in a more forward position this season for QPR. That could change if he played there regularly but I'd like him to stick at LB. I'd prefer them both booming forward down each side from right and left back

'Arry is an idiot. He has been their best full back this season and he is on the bench.

Being fit means getting game time for him, 90 minutes for Fabio today in QPR's win.

Yeah he is has pretty much been first choice when fully fit.

In that sense he has played more games than he would have done for us.

Yeah, this loan has definitely been a positive.

Was one of their better players according to QPR fans again today. Good.

Rafael and Fabio as our regular full-backs could be a realistic thought in the next season or two.

Slightly scary thought, though.

I mean they are great but two pretty small, mostly attack minded full backs might not be too clever, especially since Fabio is more gung ho than Rafael. At least Evra has some nous and can jump.

That said, I think it's pretty clear that Fabio is better than Buttner.

I'm still not sure where he'll fit in next season though unfortunately. He was loaned out this season to get regular playing time as Evra is the definite starter. I thought we would see a continued decline of Evra this season and Fabio would come back next season with a realistic chance of being first choice. But, Evra has had a pretty good season so he's essentially in the same position as he was last summer. So, another loan or does he stay here and fight it out with Evra?

Buttner will go on loan and Fabio will be Evra's backup, but with more playing time, I should think.

Quite sure we will be looking to rotate a little more often at left back and I don't think Buttner has looked safe enough to do this. See the Norwich game where Rafael was rested but Evra wasn't. Evra and Carrick are the two players we don't have strong enough cover for currently.
