Don't want to talk about that cretin when we've just hired David Moyes. If you want to talk about a prick who has nothing to do with Man United there are other threads for that. This is to welcome the new manager at the biggest and best club in England.
44% of Caftards were talking about that "cretin" as preferred choice for next manager

But fair enough.

I just hope our style of football doesn't change and we continue to never settle for anything less than 3 points.

Going to be interesting and exciting next season.

Also looks like SAF pretty much sold him to the board. If SAF thinks he's good enough then let's give him a chance.

The key words here are

Manchester United Board unanimously approves the recommendation of Sir Alex Ferguson

That is really enough for me to feel super confident

Made my day. The powers that be at United will regret overlooking Mourinho (or being overlooked by him) - mark my words.
People can say all they want about Moyes. I'm not at all bothered we didn't go for Mourinho.

Easy to pick out which fans on here weren't around pre-Fergie.

Bunch of pricks.

Fergie quote being read about Moyes, saying how much he admires him and how he is the perfect fit for United.

So this was the 'cream of the cream' you were going to get after Ferguson? I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Not my first choice as I've stated before but a very good manager in his own right and I hope he can improve here at United. Bit nervous about the future but also excited. A Fergie-less United is brand new territory for me.

Good luck David, You have my support

Guess who got the job today?
That wild Eyed Moyes, not old Jose
It's all changed, Haven't much to say
But man i still think them glazers are crazy
They were askin' if Jose were around
How he was where he could be found
Told 'em he was livin' downtown
Driving old Casillas crazy

It's Moyes we're going down It's Moyes we're going down
It's Moyes we're going down It's Moyes we're going down
It's Moyes you f*ckin' clown It's Moyes were going down
It's Moyes we're going down It's Moyes we're going down

Hope everyone gives him a chance and gets fully behind him. He has some of the necessary traits to be a manager of a top team - the doubts we just won't know for sure until he's given time and a fair chance.

I can understand fans not being happy with him, but some of the reaction is embarrassing.

He's our manager now, people actually wanting him gone is just not on. Imagine how he'll feel if he gets booed from the start, I really hope that doesn't happen. He needs our full support, the team aren't going to have much faith in him if he's being booed by our own fans.

He doesn't deserve anyone's support because he has not done shit yet. His numbers at Everton are appalling. We have no idea if he is SAF's first choice. For all you people know he could be Glazer's sole choice. He is a lightweight in a heavyweight's ring. I am sick and appalled at his appointment.

That's all about mentality though which I'm sure is something he'll develop.

Joel Glazer said:

“I am very pleased David has agreed to lead Manchester United into the future. His hard working style and steely determination and are characteristics we value at the Club. He has impressed as a coach for many years now and we strongly believe he will be able to take up from where Alex is leaving off by continuing this Club’s tradition of flair football played by exciting, world class players.”

Good luck and welcome.

Will be interesting times going ahead. Would be absolutely tremendous if we won it again next year. The only thing keeping RAWK alive has been the faint hope that SAF would one day retire. They are having a field day today. If we win it with Moyes during his first year they will probably commit mass suicide.

I'll give him my full support.

More likely you'll keep telling us how much we regret missing out on him (like Hazard) while we're looking at another title. You keep looking at the superstars like Falcao and Mourinho while we carry things on with Phil Jones and David Moyes. I wonder what people will say when we win a title this time? It can't be Sir Alex making us a one-man team any more. Maybe people might finally admit we've got quite a good team.

True, apart from the multiple quotes and his eventual appointment we have no idea if this was Ferguson's idea or not.

Welcome to the club David Moyes! You have a very very very very tough act to follow.
