But anyway, regardless of how much it hurt I just thought it was funny he had to snap the head back and clutch face in an attempt to play it up. Even though it was a genuine boot to the face.

He clearly pulls his head back as a reaction to getting hit - he doesn't know what has hit him, so his body has reacted and moved backwards to avoid the danger. Its like when u get stung or cut by something u instantly move backwards; I do not think in his mind he is thinking, "right I have just been smashed in my face by a boot, better make this look worse than it is, that player might get a red".

How could you learn to flick your head back after someone hits you anyway? You have like half a second to think 'yeah nows my time to flick my head'. How would you go about learning something like that
