Of all of the transfers this summer window which do you think will prove to be the most influential for their club once the season is done?

Hopefully Lukaku. Out of the first three games the only thing we have really needed is a striker with presence in the box who can score.

Eto'o will surely score loads and Lamela has bags of potential but the correct answer is Fellaini of course

Loan's surely can't count?... nor any fee's above £10/£15m I would have thought.... Would be better to take a look at the whole list into the PL for under 10/15 million that we think could get a few games this season..

Yeah that's a good bet for a real difference making transfer. I'm amazed Chelsea chose to send him out on loan but a loan to a club with the stature of Everton could be really beneficial to him development and Chelsea could benefit as well if he's not resentful about being sent out on loan for so long. He might think he's done enough to justify a spot in Chelsea especially with Torres being so poor, Eto'o so old and Ba not having proved himself as yet.

Why not? In the OP it says the most influential for their club? Lukaku as of this year is an Everton player.

Fellaini - because the entire team has been screaming for a better CM and it is the last piece of the puzzle. Not because I expect Fellaini to be individually amazing at all.
Lukaku/McCarthy/Barry - Cheap simple solutions that completely change their team.

Players that will underachieve;
Özil - As a left-winger he simply isn't near the same level he is as a CAM. It won't take long until Özil is unhappy and want a more central role and I can see Arsene even letting Özil play as a fake number 9 for a while to experiment.

Toure looking like he could be a good one on a free for Liverpool so far this season.

McCarthy - Cheap simple solutions that completely change their team.

McCarthy wasn't cheap! Reported fee is 12-15m. In the long run it could turn out to be a bargain as Fellaini was for us, but for now it's a pretty expensive outlay.

From the brief glimpses I've seen, Swansea could have another Spanish bargain in Alejandro Pozuelo - only cost £425k

Also, Nathan Redmond, looks like he's adapting to the Premier League already and at £2.2m he'll be a great piece of business for Norwich.

If loans count, then Lukaku too. I love the kid/fella/hulk and hope he does well at Everton, still wish he would come to us just for the hell of it

This is a great shout, he was really good in the game against us and i saw in other games he was causing all kinds of troubles with his "take-ons".

Excluding Baines the 3 best players in your team for 12-15 mill is cheap. McCarthy on his own needs time to really grow but that is why you have Barry on loan for a year.

He is our second biggest signing (in terms of price) after Fellaini. I'm not doubting that he will probably go on to be one of our best players.

Lukaka is exactly what Everton need, especially without Fellaini's aerial threat. Will be a great signing for them. Much needed because it looked like they were going to lose a lot of ground on Liverpool and Spurs.

Redmond looks good. Darren Bent will probably grab 12-15 goals for Fulham. Lamela will be Spurs' best signing but he might take a season or two before he really shines.

Whilst the size of the fee can imply that it is a safe bet for the buying club this is not always so and particularly in the immediate term. Also there can be risk to the new team if the move is a failure so i wouldn't exclude signings where there is a reasonable outlay involved.

Bearing in mind the contrastingly successful loans of players in recent years, i do think we should also recognise those who achieve situations like Lukaku at West Brom or Welbeck at Sunderland.

I'd be surprised if Lamela doesn't work some magic and inform Spurs fans that there is life after Bale. But Lukaku is an insane signing for Everton, even for a year. Jelavic has seemingly lost his touch and they've lost a few goals in Fellaini but if he's given chances he'll score goals.

Chelsea are nuts.

Don't think I've seen a club finish the transfer window as nicely as Everton just did. Lukaku is exactly what they needed.

Fellaini and Lukaku

Possibly Sakho as well as if he lives up to the hype

I thought that one of Moyes greatest strengths with us was the transfer market but Martinez has brought in some really nice players, even though a few are loans.

Wolfs Penis.

Lukaku is such a great loan deal. Everton hVe missed a proper striker for ages.

I'm afraid Ozil might be sensational for arsenal.

Bump

Seeing that the season has now reached April i think we can have some gauge as to how our predictions panned out.

For my part i really did hope for better from Norwich's acquisitions, yet how much of this outcome should fall upon Hughton's shoulders and to what degree the players...

Fernandinho, McCarthy, Lovren.

Remy, Barry and Lukaku been good but not technically signings I guess. Flamini has also done well for Arsenal

Matic has also looked good but maybe a little late to get amongst the nominations
