There are some aspects in this game that I really like, but for me having the negatives there far outweigh the pros. Trust me, I'm someone who loves pro, pes2010 is the only game I haven't bought since ISS was first introduced. I actually bought my ps3 because of pro evo 2008 and I feel exactly the same way I did back then with this game, both disappointments. They've taken 2 steps forward, but then 4 steps back as well.
I mean ffs, why are they messing around with things that were fine before?
1) The R3 button, why did they feck with this? Now I have to press L1 now, it gets on my fecking tits. And sometimes when I'm trying to set it to the last defender, it goes to the bloody keeper when I'm trying to control the defender to a striker who's gone off on a run. Ffs.
2) Set pieces, why did they feck with this? Instead of continuing with the tried and tested and fully working method of using the L3 now we have to fecking use R3 as well. I mean ffs.
3) The lagging! Oh my, don't get me started on the lagging online. I pretty much exclusively play MLO and I can't play a simple game without it being constant lagging throughout. Come on now ffs.
4) The keepers, feck me are they shit now. Yesterday my cousin took a penalty that went straight to my keeper. Did he fumble it you might ask? No, he decided to fecking sit on the floor and dive downwards so that the ball can go over his fecking head. The keeper did a stupid thing when I took a free kick too basically letting it go through his palms.
5) I had 2 more points and I've forgotten them, give me a second. Ah yes! The speed, feck sake, how fast does the game want to be? It's like a bloody basketball match with literally end to end.
6) I'm sure I had another point that I need to remember. The dribbling! I actually really love the dribbling, but that's exactly the reason why I fecking hate it too. Like I told you before, I can take Rooney from the centre spot and run through the whole defence and shoot in the box when playing on superstar. It's a joke. But I do love the dribbling in this, I just don't think they should make it so easy.

Some points l like, the dribbling for example. Overall though, no, not really. 2013 was vastly more fun to play, and that was flawed too.
Because it was so ineffective in previous years I'd been ignoring the L1 chip. But it's far too effective this time. Out of curiosity I spent a whole 10 minute game on top level trying to lob the keeper (Asian CL) and I won 8-1, with 8 lobs. Daft.

Keepers in general are just awful. One of the worst I've experienced in a football game. It's amazing they've never really managed to sort them out.

I know, but it's stupid. I want to have a proper chance of signing any player I want but with this system I have to rely on some random code to determine if I can even began negotiations with a player. I managed to get fabregas for 11m but cant even have the chance to negotiate for fernando reges. Its silly.
So I try to choose my team and this happens...

Yeah, I tried the patch/data update and tbh it hasn't made an enormous difference. There are still some pretty glaring issues with the game (e.g. keepers, defensive AI, slowdown in the final third, shooting, particularly long range). As it is I don't have any great inclination to play the game.
Damn it. I thought they said they fixed those issues!
I haven't even played mine since I got my copy, I definitely won't be buying the next one at release either.
Just tried the new data pack and I like it. Through balls now work great, keepers seem slightly better, shooting from distance is also much better. Im not sure why but the game feels abit more easier now though, maybe I need to crank up the difficulty. Januzaj is very nice to control as well. It's much better than fifa.
Will it mess up the options file kits and and all I've installed?
I don't know. I guess it would because it did give a message saying it will overwrite any edited data I had before I installed it.
I've only just started new master league campaigns so I guess I should do it.
Does anyone have it on Xbox? For all its flaws, the gameplay is excellent.
I started a Master League on this with the generic crappy players, and I was winning every game about 5-0 on highest difficulty, just because the players had high morale/confidence. Took all the fun out of it for me and haven't gone back to it since.

I still think it's great. The responsiveness seems better since the patch as well. In the end, it's just a hell of a lot of fun.
I've started new careers with United (proper line up) and everton (original ML line up).
I'm getting this today. I hope it's better than FIFA 14.

It's easily a better game IMO. But from what have heard, the online experience isn't great. But I don't really play online.
Yeah I'm not too big on online gaming too. I'm not too fussed if it's not as polished as FIFA in terms of presentation either...just as long as the gameplay is up to scratch. Folk get too hung up on authenticity...who cares whether Mooney's leading Man Red at the Theatre of Brickies?! Gameplay is where it's at.
There are not many issues with authenticity anymore given by downloading one file from the net you get all the proper names, badges and kits. Personally I really like the gameplay. But not everyone here feels the same way so hopefully you enjoy it. It's definitely got it's issues, but I find it very enjoyable.
What's its issues? And where can you download files from? I'm getting this for my 360 because my PS3 has decided to be gay.
Doesn't have that many issues anymore. I've only encountered one or two interface glitches (a freeze, overly long loading times). It was a bit unfinished initially, but the patches have fixed most of it. Initial problems with lag and response times online made it frustrating, benefitting speedy forwards and simple through balls. The menus and game modes are quite unsexy (as usual), but the gameplay is now superb.
I haven't downloaded any unofficial patches or option files yet. Try looking at pesgaming, pesfan, proevoweb and the likes. PM if you're interested in an online game later this week!

You can download them onto a usb-stick and plug it into the Xbox. First, you have to format the USB with some free program. Instructions usually accompany the patches. Not entirely sure since I haven't done it myself yet, but I don't think it's too difficult!
Just google wenb xbox options file and you'll get what you want.

This was my big issue. I really enjoyed the gameplay but it was just too easy. I was pissing every game with shit players on the highest difficulty. I sold it within about 2 weeks of buying it.
Yeh it's the same on Xbox. Really easy to do.
