Ok two Earthquake tremors in one night. Massively shitting it right now.
Four to be precise. The epicentre was delhi aswell...if this only a build up then except a much bigger one :nervous:

Four earthquakes rock NCR within four hours, strong tremors experienced

New Delhi: Tuesday began on a threatening note as four earthquakes jolted Delhi and the NCR region within four hours starting just after midnight. The first of these took place at around 12:41 am, resulting in mild tremors lasting for at least three seconds. Another one came an hour later at 01:41 am, this time causing stronger tremors that continued for same duration as first one.

"The earthquake measuring 3.1 at the Richter scale hit after 12.30 a.m (local time) here. The epicentre of the earthquake feels to be in the national capital territory. However, we are still analysing the data," an Indian Meterological Department (IMD) official was quoted as tellin IANS in wake of first earthquake.

Media reports claim that the second quake measured 3.1 on richter scale. No official confirmation is however available from IMD yet.

Then, there was a third quake at around 3:42 am, again causing tremors. The third one was much milder, with tremors for merely two seconds. The fourth series of tremors were experienced around 4:05 am. It seemed same in magnitude as the third one.

Owing to lack of information at the odd-hour, it was social media where the people confirmed the quakes.

Interesting comments in that video but then again i am forced to vote for congress because of that mentality despite knowing they dont deserve another term.

Yeah they're bring royally fecked right now. Utterly stupid from them though. The mood in Delhi gave them a huge opportunity which they have possibly spurned.

From what I've read, it's not a complete disaster. The guilty candidates weren't even asking for money for themselves but rather for party donations. As long as they deal with the fallout properly and take action, they'll be fine. Other parties have recovered from far worse.

New aircraft carrier inducted today :)

Excuse my ignorance, are you sure that picture #3 matches the carrier? It appears to be an F-14, which was only operated by the Americans (and Iran for a while) -- but the Vikramaditya was bought from the Russians wasn't it? Perhaps I'm mistaken and that's not an F-14. Sorry to take the thread off topic.

Edit: Ignore me, I think that's a MIG-29k, which makes perfect sense. Silly me.

Anybody who doesn't vote for AAP in delhi elections is quite frankly a moron. That is all.

From what I have been hearing from my folks, and the somewhat people I know, they are all voting for AAP. As Kejriwal has been saying all this time, people are really fed up with Congress, and an alternative wouldn't do much harm.

The rich, as usual, won't vote. The corrupt will go for Congress. It's the poor/slum dwellers who might decide it again this time as to who comes in power.

Interestingly, I was watching NDTV the other day, and they said that for AAP to come into power, they will have to win 40% of the votes. Now in this battle between AAP and Congress, I really hope the tide doesn't swings towards BJP.

However the biggest takeaway from the survey, is that it has found that most of Kejriwal’s supporters — a whopping 31 percent — are also rooting for Modi as the next PM of this country.
The revelation is not new.
A survey conducted by CNN-IBN and CSDS in October, showed that although Arvind Kejriwal was the most preferred choice for Delhi’s chief minister, 51 percent of those who want Arvind Kejriwal as the chief minister of Delhi want to see Narendra Modi as the country’s prime minister.
Go Modi!!!

Same thing happened in Pakistan. Imran Khan's party was the only one with the least corruption, and everyone thought the Pakistani public may have woken up at last (after years of blackouts, crazy price rises, corrupt prisoner Zardari's reign of terror, etc).

No such luck, the public (rich and poor) were knobheads after all and are currently opening their rearholes for the other prisoned corrupt idiot, Nawaz Sharif. I see the same fate befalling India I'm afraid.

I'm curious to know what drives this allegiance to him. Or to any politician for that matter.

No allegiance. Best of bad choices, I should say. Maybe it is just the anti-incumbency attitude, but I am just fed up with the apathy and indecisiveness of the Congress.

Ooh yes go genocidal killer yay!
Are they any other honest alternatives? Most of them have a criminal record. And Modi's has moderated a lot in recent times. He has changed and I will vote for Modi of now.

Not everyone has a criminal record and I'd argue that what modi allegedly did was worse than most of those petty things out together.

Famous last words of many a German in the 30s...
I don't think that comparison holds up here. I personally don't think Modi should become the PM of the country not because he will start throwing minorities in camps but because the very act of him becoming the PM would result in massive polarization across the country.

The comparison holds not just because he's a raving lunatic at heart, but because his ideology finds takers in this so called secular nation of ours. There's a tenuous thread holding us together and Modi has the capability to snap that to his own ends.

Okay, can somebody explain as to why Modi lashed out at Omar Abdullah? Haven't read up on their history, but seemed a bit bizarre at the time to do so.

Also it depends upon which kind of ideology you are talking about. BJP found in last election that you can not win on the plank of Hindutva. Modi's urban supporters right or wrongly see him as a development man and think he can reform the Indian Govt.
