Sure it's all well and good if he can go away to an Arsenal team who got comfortably beat by liverpool and pick up a point by sitting back, but it's in the other games where he needs to show his worth. Actually a bit in games like this too. He needs to show he has it in him to get his teams to outplay big teams, or get good results away from home. Like when we need a win, to get a big win away to Arsenal, who really were there for the taking. At least we had a good defensive performance, hopefully give them a bit of confidence so we stop giving away silly goals but going forward there was nothing, which has always been the biggest concern with Moyes in charge.
Looking at this result on its own, its a good result. But when you look at the grand scheme of things, our recent form, Arsenal's recent form, the table, it doesn't do anything for us. Not sure it improves our overall confidence either. It's more of a case of nothing really changing.
