Haven't see it enough times but to me it looked a penalty but Costa hugely exaggerated the fall. I think he would have fell regardless though as the trailing leg seemed to catch him.
The way he put his leg even if Vlaar doesn't touch him, he's down. Costa is useful cnut.

De Guzman is the biggest liability in this game and that's saying something with De Jong on the pitch too.

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
You can't understand why there's a discussion? Well therein lies the issue.

It appears to me Costa extended his leg and stepped on the defender's trailing leg. I believe that warrants a discussion.
And not only that, but when he discovers that that isn't enough for him to fall, he does a pretty obvious flop. Clear dive. I thought it was one to begin with, but I had to see a replay a few times to be sure.

The Dutch do not like good imo. Someone is going to get sent off for them as well.

It's hard to believe the Dutch were in the final just 4 years ago given the starting line up here. They'll do well to get out the group ahead of Chile.

This Netherlands team isn't very good is it?
And Spain seem to have regressed a bit since 2012/2010.
How have you come to that conclusion? They actually LOST their first game of the 2010 WC.

That's what I've been thinking hahaha.

I remember this fat ginger from my youth team constantly doing the worst dives and we'd all cringe when the ref actually gave us freekicks!

Why is neither team wearing 'home' colours when there would quite clearly be no clash?

Yeah, it's awful. Both live services I quickly checked, as well as the commentators, thought it was a clear penalty. I assume the TV crew think so too, because there haven't been any new replays. I hope this doesn't just blow over.

The Norwegian commentators on NRK are truly terrible. Sounds like they are talking to a bunch of 10-year olds.

Also, Costa is a cnut. Was not a penalty.

I told yoi. Holland having a shit generation. And you still dream of Blind or Clasie. Lulz.

Strootman is no great shakes either but would improve us because our midfield is horrendous.

Both Robben and RVP have came very, very close to beat the Spanish offside trap. Won't be surprised to see Holland getting another one on one chance.
