Schadenfreude?? You felt that? How poor. I'm German and I was as happy, but I felt sorry for the Brazilians. What might they have to go through from now. Schadenfreude is a good feeling for weak people.
Been so busy replying to people replying to my posts I didn't manage to fully read the thread, but I'm glad to see this post (and some others). Just some simple compassion Glad to see others feel this way

I love this forum. Brazil is always favored to lose and called shit, but somehow we are overrated.. Uhmm?

Same thing.. Chile and Colombia were the best WC teams.. we beat them in tough matches, and we are shit because of it... Uhm?

I don't think we will beat Germany without our landslide two best players, but I'd love to see the reaction.
And he never posted again.

Fantastic performance from the Germans. Champagne football from start to finish; Neuer being pissed at the goal they conceded encapsulates their whole attitude.

Hope they get smashed by the Dutch in the final now :D

So he's a cnut for giving an interview?...Poor sod can't win with some on here.
I don't think it's natural to go for an interview being absolutely devestated and crying your eyes out with millions of people seeing it live. He always comes across as an absolute prick aswell on the pitch and I believe it was staged to gain some sympathy with the fans.

The way the people here became more and more ecstatic with each goal here is brilliant reading back now I've looked at the thread. Same stuff every two or three pages the way it was.

I do not think he was trying to gain sympathy. He seemed to be legitimately upset about what just happened which is perfectly understandable.

No worries, you're all good with hating him for being a bellend but it's harsh to tar him with that particular brush!
Haha. Yeah, plenty of legit stuff to have a moan about him at.

Few nasty elbows tonight from Luiz. I think he was too hyped up. The stuff Brazil did acting as though Neymar had died clearly didn't help.

Look, that man is a fecking cnut of the highest order, as we have seen in game after game against Chelsea. I don't give a flying feck if he's crying over a game. Yes, I did find it amusing. Know why? Because he didn't lose a child to cancer or watch a massacre in his village or lose his home to bankruptcy or just learn he has AIDS. No, he lost a fecking ball game.

Yes. Amusing. Put in it perspective.
Yh I find this crying thing pretty stupid tbh, all crying showing emotion, all forza neymar crap before match, you can show solidarity to a person in private which means much more than soaking up all the max media attention

Also I doubt pro footballers have such emotion for playing for their team with big wages they earn at their respective clubs, money destroys the hunger and passion, and these guys dont just get money they get shitloads of it

They only cry just to lap up media, and to get sympathy from fans imo

If that is true why are most of the trophies won by the richest clubs?

I think this is the happiest I have been after a world cup game. I'm still laughing about it now. That's how deep my hatred was towards this Brazil team.

Grown-men have been crying this ENTIRE tournament...

Seriously, if grown-men crying angers you, I'd say the World Cup is probably the last thing you want to be watching.
I didn't critisize men crying in general. But forme he came across staged in the interview. However I never liked Luiz's behaviour and attitude on the pitch, if someone random like Willian would have done the interview I probably wouldn't have come to that conclusion.

I don't care if some of them are past their best etc....All of them players were of more benefit to Brazil then some of them that made it to the WC this year.

Excellent performance from the Germans, dominated the midfield and rarely looked threatened. Confidence will be sky high now after this result for the final. Hummels, Klose given some extra rest aswell and Muller didn't get booked so will be available.

Fantastic night for them and should go on to win it now!

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Fecking surreal game. At the pub we were just prosting on one goal and weren't even finished celebrating when our boys scored the next one. That was by far the most insane 25 minutes of football I have ever seen from our national team.

Oh yeah and needless to say I'm quite fecking drunk but I'm pretty sure not going to be the only hungover, sleepy feck at my work tomorrow.

Haha Neuer is always like that. For example if Bayern is trashing someone in Bundesliga and it's 5:0 and they concede 1 goal in the very last minute... he just looks as mad as someone would be if he loses a final or something :D

He's just pissed because he's missed out on his clean sheet bonus :D

We're giving Özil a bit too much stick at the moment, but if he had burried that easy chance at the end the match would have probably ended 8-0.

Yeah, I was annoyed by his miss, especially with Brazil scoring seconds later. 8-0 would have been even more memorable (if that's even possible).

A game that is very very important to many people around the world. Why not respect that? I don't want to be patronizing but surely you know about all the history this game has and what it has historically meant to many people. Strictly rationally, yes, it's just a game, but to many people it just means so very very much. Regardless of what it means to you personally, and how you feel about that. I understand also to many people it is just a game, but I feel a statement like that just disregards what football means to many people, and it is in fact the most annoying thing anyone could ever possibly say when you're upset over a game that your team loses. Never happened to you?
I have a perspective on the important things in life. Sure, I've been upset. Cry? feck no.

It might 'just be a game' but its a bloody emotional one. We've seen players and fans crying for years after wins and defeats. But suddenly when its Brazil they're all cnuts and its all fake?...Nah not having that. If anything, they have even more reason to be emotional.

I don't think people actually understand how much this WC means to Brazilians.

So he's a cnut for giving an interview?...Poor sod can't win with some on here.
Ha. Jesus. Jump to conclusions much. Some of you need to get off the "Brazil is being attacked" wagon. One of my favorite moments in football is John Terry crying in the rain like a child. It's a game.

Well, that's your perspective. Try respecting others' perspectives. You have a perspective on the important things in life to you, and clearly only to you. Who are you to say what things should mean to others? What's important to you in life might not be the same to others, and vice versa. I think compassion is important, you seemingly don't.

Even though it was John Terry it was understandable imo cause he missed the most important penalty for his team. But I don't think it's a natural decision to go to an interview like Luiz if you're completely upset and even crying. You try to disappear into the dressing room after a match like that.

Yep, I get it. And I will always think it's idiotic to see grown men crying over a game.

I'd say his crying was less from losing the game and more of a scared boy who knows what's coming. It was fear. He went from being the golden boy to possibly the next pariah. Those were self preservation tears.

Even though he's extremely unlikable, Terry has been a fantastic player and captain for Chelsea. He doesn't seem to care for a lot of things in his private life but I think Chelsea is quite important for him.
Edit: Actually I have no idea whether you were talking about Terry or Luiz so this post might have been poor.

I was talking about Luiz there. I do think Terry cares about Chelsea. And being a horrible person.

Best World Cup performance ever? Brazil humiliated themselves, not Germany

"Germany are receiving all the plaudits after their 7-1 thumping of hosts Brazil in Belo Horizonte. But the truth is that Brazil inflicted this humiliation on themselves"

An unexpectedly good article from Goal.com sure to enrage all the German fanboys.
I didn't read the whole article but I agree with the general point. After we scored the first goal Brazil attacked like an panicked U11 side and it was quite easy for us.
