So bar the bollocks Metro has spouted is there anything good flying about regarding United transfers?

We will know the outcome of this saga next week once LVG comes in and decides he thinks he can "convert" Cleverley.

Just imagining the reaction if it was announced he was going to City.
Think Pogba going to Chelsea would be the ultimate meltdown here. Getting one of our former players (and yet another top class midfielder that we've been crying out for) and also ending any potential move for Vidal all at the same time.

LVG will be wasting his time if he tries that. Cleverley is nothing but a coward with no solid attribute to deserve a place at United in any midfield position he plays in; he is among the 4-5 players who should be thrown out for everyone's good by now.

According to Sports mediaset, Juventus are interested in Guarin as United look set to bid for Vidal

Nev smash!!
He's a terrible professional and an awful human being. He still played only one game against decent (don't laugh) opposition and scored twice. That's one less than Van Persie scored in the entire tournament despite reaching the semi-finals and playing for a superior side with the likes of Robben and Sneijder feeding him. Suarez did this injured and unfit, barely coming back.

He's been than Van Persie at the moment, who is still a top striker but Suarez is probably the third or fourth best player overall in the entire world right now. His ability is staggering - what lets him down is his ability to get banned every five minutes.

Despite his goals, you can't pretend he wasn't quite himself last season. Lots of United fans were actually saying it was time to go and felt he didn't look motivated on the pitch whatsoever. Maybe he'll be different next season but this World Cup he's been meh as well apart from vs. a Spain team that badly screwed up. I genuinely hope he's back to his best because I'd rather United for the league than City/Chelsea or Arsenal. Maybe I went overboard saying he was average but compared to Suarez he was, that is for certain.

Right now Suarez is quite clearly the better player and has been for a little while now. You'd very much struggle to find someone that would prefer to have Van Persie on ability alone that isn't a Manchester United fan.
England are shite, for a start. You used the World Cup as part of your argument, not me. Suarez didn't have a great one, and certainly no better than RVP, who got to within penalties of the final with a rank average Dutch team.

As for the bolded part, lots of United fans are fecking idiots. RVP's record last season speaks for itself.

I'm not arguing with your point, I never did. Suarez is a better player (I wouldn't swap them, because Suarez is an absolute cretin and I wouldn't have him near my team), but I'm perfectly happy with RVP in my side, and my argument is with the "facts" you're trying to use to underline your argument, that Suarez had a better World Cup and RVP was, and I quote you here "pretty average" last season. Both of those are wrong.

Jesus Christ! It's here FFS: https://www.redcafe.net/threads/who-is-better-rvp-or-suarez.393343

Can we not get thread bans for this or something?

Much as I'd rather have Vidal, as he's currently better (and getting Pogba back for big money would be slightly embarassing), if it came to this we should absolutely throw whatever money it takes at Juve and Pogba to hi-jack the deal.

I haven't read this thread in over a week. Is there anything reliably positive from either camp?
None. Unlike the Chelseas, Barcelonas and Arsenals of this world, United and Juventus have been acting like chickens on the market when it comes to working out any particular deals with a bigger profile involved.

Ok, as has been said this isn't the thread for it so will leave it there.

Once Mourinho talks with a player it's pretty much over. Don't think any club can "hijack" Chelsea these days.

So, has there been any actual news in the last 50 pages or so? Every time this gets bumped it has been talking about stuff that's only somewhat related to Vidal and others not at all. Maybe lock it until the World Cup is over?

In what way is menstruating on the kitchen floor "only somewhat related to Vidal"?

Calling for thread locks is a cnut's trick.
