Come on there was absolutely no way he was going to go unpicked the first round. Was really hoping he or Gullit wouldn't get banned or picked before me. Couldn't think of many other standout players other than them personally.
I had to debate so much and finally decided Baggio has a probability to remain unpicked.... And you shatter it immediately after.
BTW it is Roberto Baggio and not Dino Baggio before someone decides to feck me over...
In the draft games I played, Baggio is not usually a first round pick. But then yeah, in this game most 1st round picks are either blocked or in the pool!
The age limits, DoF nominations and blocks have certainly made it harder to pick the standout players. It's going to require more knowledge and better research to dig out the hidden undervalued greats but it is fun.

Very good choice. With Keown already there, he will definitely boost your defence. Perfect!
Yeah, it is a bit of a weakness to have the a defender as the legacy pick when there are so many great forwards about. Can end up looking very fragile defensively if you don't compensate.

Same here. Can't wait until we get to the DOF round, it is almost more exciting than the draft itself. Started off by being unlucky with the draft round position, then getting lucky with Cocu, so I am in for an unlucky DoF.

I can see people being puzzled seeing those first picks in a 35 year timeline spanning from 50s to mid 80s.So you end up with the last dof pick each time?Same here. Can't wait until we get to the DOF round, it is almost more exciting than the draft itself.
DoF picks are randomized, same as legacy picks.

Considering theres better and worse players in there....possibly.
As far as I know, he'd randomize those players and then assign in the order of the draft. Being first or last doesn't matter, as a top player can be at the top or bottom of the randomized order.
As aldo mentions, the lists are randomized. The random list is assigned in the managers draft order (see post by Balu in page 5-7 I think).

Do you think Lato would have been available in the next round? I had originally intended to go for someone else, but @antohan nudged me towards the Polish route.
I think you're always best of picking up the player you want rather than wishing they won't be taken until the next round. You really set yourself up to disappointment the other way around.
Either that or be cold hearted and make no plans which may lead to picking up the best individuals, but in my eyes that gets very see through when you present your team without a heart/cohesion.
So a player you actually rate and like yourself is always the better pick.
