My main two worries are Rojo dealing with Lukaku, we haven't really seen enough of him to see how he is going to deal with lukaku's strength. Also, who is going to replace Herrera?
Lukaku has been playing out wide so his immediate opponent would be Shaw you'd think. Albeit Lukaku will be aiming to cut in a lot.

In a way I'm glad I'm working today - it'll take my mind off the game.

    Just too nervous to watch..

    C'mon United!

Don't know if it would work but I would like:

    ------------de Gae-------------

    Rafael---McNair----Rojo--Shaw

    -------------Blind----------------
    -------Mata-------di Maria-------
    ------------Januzaj---------------

    ----------RVP-----Falcao----------

I like the early games since last season. Get the game (and inevitable disappointment) out of the way early and have more day time left.

Must be shit for all of you in different time zones though.
I have no problem being up at 7 a.m. for a game. Been doing it for years

Not the best time to try an untested goalkeeper.
Play Mata as a number 10 and Valencia on the right of a midfield 3 and I'd go with that team.

Big fat no to Mata in midfield.

Probably right, or Fletcher/ Anderson () in that role instead of Valencia. But maybe we should just play better and players (Januzaj) rather than poor players of similar positions. I just don't get why Mata cannot play in the Herrera position? I'm sure he can adjust. He has a few similar qualities and is the best passer on our team. Fabregas practically has adjusted to play that position so there's no reason Mata can't either.

It will be one of fletcher/perreira/valencia in midfield. I hope we win. the top of the table is begining to take shape. We need to be close to the top . We also need to begin a run of consecutive victories. I hope we dominate them and beat them comprehensively

I expect at least 10 goals. Can be 8-2 or 3-7. Two teams with poor defenders and an unbalanced midfield.

Please Falcao show us what you are capable of.

Valencia I recon will play in midfield. Plays there internationally and does a good job.

We'd get destroyed in midfield mate.

Why does everyone have Valencia in a midfield position? Have there been any clues to suggest this might happen? I personally can't see him doing well there, I mean what if, god forbid, a situation arises where he needs to use his left foot? I'd much rather have any of our recognised cm's in there, even Fellaini!

    Too open.

Anyway what an early kick off, lineups in 20 minutes, a bit strange, I woke up half an hour ago. Come on United! :)

    Looks like a 4-0-6 or 5-0-5 formation.

Great time for me. Just after my tea and before watching Breaking Bad, a shower and then bed.

Not quite. Isn't it about 50-60 mins before kick off the line ups are out. So 11am at earliest?

Didn't he closed his twitter account because of the stick he got from the Ecuador fans? Doesn't sound like a man who does a good job... :nervous:

Our defence will need to be on their toes and best as Everton will cause us a lot more problems than West Ham. A solid display will see us grab all three points, IMO.

Because he plays that position for his national team.

I have no idea......but Rooney could have done the same for both Utd and England if its based on fans perceptions.

Why are people shoe horning Januzaj into their formations?

I reckon the team will be set up more defensively considering we have no Rooney and an inexperienced defence.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Valencia and Fletcher in with AdM in the no.10 tbh.
