This would be a really nice deal to round off our business. I think he is ready to take the step up to the next level. Come on Woody, I know it might be a bit low key for your liking at sub £30 million, but get it done.

Why wont we go for him?

I'd be very happy, he'd be a starter even when Carrick is back

EDIT:

Schneiderlin Herrera ADM
RVP Rooney Falcao

Hopefully it's true that we've bid for him and I hope we try to sign him again. If we managed to sign him in January or next summer, then we could be a wide player and a centre-half away from a very good team.

Situation hasn't really changed then. He's more than good enough to be playing for an elite side, I don't blame him for pushing for a move.

I would take this with a pinch of salt. Take a look at Lallana.

*agreed it's Liverpool, but still.

I wanted him before we bought Blind. Not so much now though.

Ah international break, time when players can freely express their wishes/hints for leaving their current clubs.

Step 2: Comes back to England and translation issues.

Schneiderlin doesn't need to be the holding midfielder. He's also played a fair amount of games as an "8". I'd really like to see him here.

Blind

A. Herrera - Schneiderlin

I think this would work really well in big games with Rooney or Falcao up top and di Maria wide, even though people don't like di Maria in a wide position.

He's a much more complete player than Lallana ever was. He's been Southamptons best player for the last 5 years.

If it's true about Cabaye wanting to leave PSG, I'd imagine he ends up there as his Cabayes replacement. Great player though.

He'd be one of the first players I'd look to sign in January. Can play as both a defensive midfielder and box to box midfielder very well. Would add a lot of power and bite to the midfield.

Very, very good player. I have had it in my head for a while that I would like us to get a very powerful midfielder (more powerful than Schneiderlin), although I wouldn't be upset to have him here.

If Carvalho shows impressive form this season though he's the type I think we need more.
