Looks like Cosby has been quite active with the females over the years. I'm actually not particularly surprised as it comes with the fame.

A few years ago my ex and I were at a club to watch Chris Rock perform. We were sitting at small table at the very back and Chris came and sat with us to scope out the vibe of the room while his friend Mario Joyner was on stage. Very nice guy. Later in a nearby dance club, we ran into him again. My ex goes up to him (I was sitting about 10 meters away at the time) to compliment him on a great show. His reply was thanks, I'm staying at room *** at the Radisson. The implication was quite clear. Comedians, musicians and the like do this sort of thing all the time and Cosby was probably no exception. The allegation that he drugged and had sex with so many women was quite crazy though.

Complete side note, having nothing to do with Bill Cosby being a rapist, but this Janice Dickinson, I have seen here on shows before and she calls herself the worlds first super model, but honestly until she showed up on some reality show I had never heard of her. Again this has nothing to do with her being raped by Bill, just wondering about that claim of being the first supermodel.

She comes across as a bit of a dramatic type. Apparently she asked CNN for money to do an interview about the rape. But collectively, there are now something like 19 women, so its safe to say Cosby is toast.

Yup, hard to see 19 women all making up stories like this. The article I linked talks about a 15 year old girl. This Janice Dickinson was I think 17 in 1982. Not sure about the ages of the others. But at least two cases of targeting youngsters, one of whom definitely was below the age of consent.

Opps. Janice would have been 27 in 1982 not 17 my bad.

To be honest if Janice Dickenson told me a flame would burn me, I'd have to stick my hand in before I believed her.

Something about the statute of limitations means it is too late to bring a prosecution for this?

What kind of country is that?

Does that mean that if you can keep it quiet for long enough, you can do what you like and then shout it from the rooftops once a period of time has passed?

Just pointing out that the US did not invent the concept nor do I believe they are the only country to har such limitations. The limitations vary by crime and some crimes do not have limitations.

I would also point out that the laws exist to protect the innocent from unjust prosecution.

You. An google the legal reasons behind it. The statute of limitations can also vary based on whether it is criminal or civil charges.

It is idiotic particularly for such serious crimes. It suggests that sexual crimes aren't considered as sufficiently serious to warrant prosecution after a short time. There should be no statute of limitations for serious crime. Jurors are capable of judging how fading memories apply to the application of reasonable doubt.

I agree the most serious crimes should not have limitations on them or should have very, very long ones. In the US many of the most serious crimes do not have limitations on them, though it does vary from State to State. There are some serious crimes that are left with limitations and that should change.

He's getting dropped left and right. Lost his Navy award yesterday, dropped by hi University a few days before that. Not only is he finished, he is going to spend the rest of his life fighting various civil suits that come out of this.

Wonder how many of his assets are getting liquidated then the cash moved out to some country where the lawyers and courts can't get at it?

Got a feeling within the next year or two we will be hearing about him filing for bankruptcy.

Watching Bill Cosby Show should be fun now. Remember the episode where his daughter couldn't sleep at night and asked daddy to hang out ?

She's no ordinary accuser. He's done.
What makes her any different from any other accuser? Still no evidence, just stories and accounts. Im not saying he's innocent because I don't know. Its hard to distinguish between the blurred lines of the culture of sex/drugs for roles in hollywood which still goes on even today.

Are you being serious ? Twenty women, most of whom don't know one another, have come forward and accused him of drugging and raping them.

Yes. Even in the absence of concrete evidence and actual charges from all accusers, let's believe these allegations just because so many people have come forward with them. Guilty until proven innocent and all that. It seems you've made up your mind

Given that these rapes spanned decades and were inflicted on nearly two dozen women, its standard deductive logic that the odds none of them happened are astronomically low. In which case, you are believing the silence of an alleged serial rapist over the pain and suffering of his victims. There isn't likely any physical evidence since as previously mentioned, all of them took place between the 60s and 80s.

I strongly disagree with you on your guilty judgement. None of us know the facts. I know a lot of women and men in hollywood will do anything at the drop of a hat just for 15 minutes of fame, and I mean anything. This is not saying these women are liars, you and I just don't know, and all we both know is that the environment in the entertainment industry has a lot of blurred lines.

Well I've lived and partied in Hollywood and can assure you there is no different standard for drugging and raping 20 women there compared with any place else. Putting the reputation of one man above the suffering and humiliation of 20 women is a bit morally repugnant if you ask me.

I've partied in Hollywood as well. I have two sisters who live in Beverley Hills, one is a model. Im not going to hang a man without evidence. I bet you anything these allegations have got 90% of the powerful people, talent, scouts, producers and otherwise, all shook and tightening up their past conquests because one of them is next. Once again Im not saying Cosby is innocent because I don't know, and I can say the same about these women. All of them coming out at once doesn't change anything for me. This is how easy it is to take someone down in the industry.

Since you, the media and many others seem to be taking the automatic guilty judgment in this case, here's maybe a counter article for you to ponder on. Once again, im on the fence, but look at this from all sides/possibilities.

What sort of evidence would convince you ? We're obviously not in a criminal trial where physical evidence is presented. I think for most people, the detailed stories of over 20 women (so far) showing a consistent pattern of a man who used drugs to intoxicate and rape young women would seem to be quite a compelling avalanche of evidence against him. I'm not talking about physical evidence as one might expect in a trial - more that of the extreme improbability that 20 plus disparate women of different age groups who don't know one another would come out of hiding and reveal what happened to them. Either all of them are collectively lying or Bill Cosby may be a serial rapist.

Did you look at the article I provided? What if you're wrong? So we should automatically believe their word against is and proclaim him guilty because 20 of them have come forward? If I wanted to destroy you i'd round up 20 people you've had dealings with in the past to come out with stories against you. Im not saying this is the case (we don't know), but even if it was your mind would still be dead set on the man's guilt. What happened to benefit of doubt? I for one do not believe all these women are the victims they're portraying themselves as. What do you think about that article?

Yes i did, and found it a bit offensive to be honest. First, its a conservative web site so it should come as no surprise that they've taken a position to undermine the credibility of a few of the accusers rather than to take a holistic look at the accusations. Second, what difference does it make if a person has gotten in trouble with the law over the course of their life in relation to whether or not Bill Cosby drugged and raped them. Its not as of both couldn't happen, so I don't see either scenario as invalidating the collective stories of 20 plus women.

Since we're never going to see physical evidence, the only evidence we will have is the collective testimony of all the women he allegedly drugged and raped, and at the end of the day its much easier to believe the stories of twenty women who (again) don't know one another than the deafening silence of Bill Cosby not denying any of it.

You can't totally discount an individual inventing events to cash in but this article is nothing but a pro-Cosby fluff piece attacking the morals and lifestyle of the accusers in an attempt to muddy the water. This sort of bullshit is exactly why most rapists get away with it.

There is a hell of a difference between a casting couch incident, however distasteful, and someone drugging and raping someone.

Its not the accounts of their lifestyles that bother me, its the parts about the lies that two of them admitted to in the past, its the part about one of them who has accused another celebrity of the same crime back in the 90s after her friend did the same. Are you suggesting that the website made those up? I can find other sources to verify them. At the end of the day its wrong for anyone to find Cosby guilty when they don't have the facts. Every man deserves the benefit of doubt. Innocent until proven guilty, do not hang the man on nothing but words. You wouldn't want the same happen to you.

I'm saying they are irrelevant to the broader situation. Unless you're suggesting that every single of one of his 20 accusers is lying, which the article doesn't attempt to suggest. Let's for a moment pretend two of the 20 are making things up. That would still not explain how 18 others would have such detailed stories about drugging and raping them.

Also, many of these events didn't take place in Hollywood as previously suggested. Many took place in New York and on the road, places like Denver, Lake Tahoe and others. The only consistent strain of information that holds them together is that they all accuse Cosby of drugging and raping them. So at the end of the day we have twenty women who don't know each other providing nearly identical accounts of being drugged and raped, which is incredibly incriminating.

Why is it unfair to look into the past and histories of these women when the accused is on full blast and already guilty in public opinion?

It doesn't matter where they took place though, they took place within the realm of the entertainment industry

They are going for 100M. Don't tell me some of these people are not crawling out of the woodworks now because its the right thing to do. Thats a very extravagant sum of money.
