kinda forgot about him at RM. Would it be worth trying to turn the players head with a cheeky €60,000,000 bid?
Absolutely the player we should have got
Absolutely the player we should have got
ok then they can sell us Modric. They dont need both
especially since they will likely sign Pogba
Modric and Kroos accompany each other exceptionally well. Why should they sell one of them? They could easily add Pogba as 3rd midfielder who would be a great fit to balance their team. If they have to let someone go its either bale or Isco (+ Illarra/khedira)
We should be in the Pogba fight.
2 goals in 51 appearances this season. Not exactly set La Liga on fire has he.
Is this a serious post?2 goals in 51 appearances this season. Not exactly set La Liga on fire has he.

Are we even going to play 51 games this season?Personally I'm hugely impressed with 51 appearances. Imagine that.
Luckily OP said € then. Was more in reply to the comment on his "lethal right foot" - I was more surprised by the stat of his lack of goals to be honest. Granted he offers a lot more than goals, but not sure i'd put anything close to a £60m bid in for him.

You're not accounting for the manner in which we are going to bid. It's going to be faxed but it's going to letter headed paper that specifically states it is a "cheeky bid."Ok €60m then. He went to real for half that. How a double your money bid of €60m counts as "cheeky", I'll never know
Is there a better medium to long range passer in the world? I guess Xabi Alonso is up there, but who else?

Stop being pedantic.
you pull me up on currency, and i'm being pedantic?!
€60m would be a HUGE transfer fee for Kroos, and Madrid would probably snap your hand off for that size of a bid, and then replace him with Pogba.
Sure wouldn't we be delighted if that happened?you pull me up on currency, and i'm being pedantic?!

We should have offered him 250k per week last season. Yet some guys were claiming he wasn't "dynamic enough" for us wdf? Either way this transfer isn't even remotely possible any more.
He is miles better than any midfielder we currently got, he can play CM/CDM/CAM all at a world class level, and he could easily have replaced Carrick for us. Fecking Madrid got him for €25million as well.
Honestly I still don't think he is tbh, excellent player no doubt, but I think without Modric that Real midfield is pretty weak (even with Kroos).
Herrera + another high energy CM would do us better
It’s also interesting why he scores so little. Whenever I’ve seen him, his shooting from distance looked dangerous.2 goals in 51 appearances this season. Not exactly set La Liga on fire has he.
I’m not so sure, yesterday was a one-off (Ramos in midfield). Pogba would fit nice in their midfield I reckon.Kross costs them defensively. He's a fraction too slow at covering ground and Madrid lack a bit of midfield control because of it.
I can't see a Madrid buying Pogba for a midfield 3. They struggled with the midfield 3 just after a Christmas snd had a meeting with Ancelotti to change it back to their version of 4-4-2. Can't see why they'd go down that route again.
That's the one thing I've noticed about the Spanish big 2, their midfield are as weak as it's been in a while. As a Consequence of their big 3 stradegy they sacrifice a bit of something in midfield and it was very noticeable last night. The same will happen tonight with Bayern as well.
Bayern will control the midfield while Barca get it forward to the front 3 as quick as they can and build from there. It works well for Barca but could play into Peps hands
