He'll score more goals than last season, probably ten or something like that. He can't do worse than at United, but he won't ever be that world class striker again.
Precisely because of his previous injury and recent form. United and Chelsea were able to acquire him at minimal risk, with an option to buy if he regains his form.
I'd genuinely rather have Ings. And I don't even rate Ings.

I think I would in all honesty.
Monaco's Russian owner has stopped bankrolling them so much so they can't afford to keep his wages on the books, but nobody wants to buy him for the amount they want either, especially with his current form and injury history.
Interesting if "Remy considering Chelsea future" (Telegraph) turns out to be true. With Costa injury prone, they might end up reliant on Falcao, which would be nice 
At the time the ffp wasn't in place, it's crucial for them to get rid of his wage. If you bought him for say 20m they would have helped you with the wage, but since you opted for a loan, I doubt that Monaco will pay his wage at least no more than 20%.
After flopping so hard at United, I would have thought he would recycle himself in Italy or something like that.

I was convinced this was all bollocks. It's gonna be weird watching him now. I'd love him to do well on a personal level, but now have to hope he remains shit which in all honesty is what I think will happen.
Because if he does well on loan, they'd get much more than £10 million. It's a gamble of course but all transfers are.
It's not his wage he is on 14m€ a year, and like last season the pay cut isn't a pay cut. At Monaco foreign players don't pay taxes and it was said that Falcao was willing to take care of his taxes which means that he earns almost half of what he would with Monaco. Which equate to 195k£/week before taxes.
It's good for Chelsea. If you have the money and can easily afford it, I don't see the harm in taking a chance on a 29 year old whose top level was world class and might rediscover his form. On top of that, their success doesn't hinge on whether he performs or not. If he does well it's a bonus, if he fails sure they're out the money they paid for his wages but knowing Chelsea the player they sent on loan to Monaco will probably be sold for a cost that will offset whatever they paid in wages for Falcao.
I just hope that if he does do well for Chelsea, people don't moan about us not signing him. There's no way you could justify paying a huge transfer fee for him based of his performances for us.

In all seriousness, I'm very surprised he and his advisers thought it a good idea to stay in the PL.
Every PL defense he played against completely bossed him.
He was bullied by most CBs he encountered in England - including league 1 opposition.

Why not? I like to see our former players do well, even players that were only on loan. Why would I want to see him fail? I'd rather he score 20 goals for Chelsea next season than Diego Costa.

Not our problem any more but can only wish him well for the professional way he acted. It does look like a poor move all round: for Chelsea, their young strikers and Falcao himself.
Mendes is obviously exerting his influence here. Chelsea and Mourinho help him out by providing a client with an unlikely second chance in the Premier League and next time he has a real prospect to sell then I'm sure Chelsea will have first refusal or something similar.

It's not weird at all. I don't have to want Chelsea to do well. He could score 20 league goals and Chelsea could come 5th. Saying I want Falcao to do well doesn't mean I want Chelsea to.
I feel like this can only end badly for us. I'll take no pleasure in Falcao continuing to struggle and the media reaction will be unbearable if he does well.
