Despite spouting a lot of BS, both papers tend to be first with proper Madrid news.
I hate hearing them talk about De Gea and how his signing is such an inevitability! Plus, they've been recycling the same crap for a while now.

But i expect the reporter to be there. Müller will be there though, we will see in 2 hours who is there.
don't know, maybe he just retweeted it, and FCB twitter has written about only Neuer and Boateng

Either Depay, Darmien and Schweinsteiger or Darmein, Schweinsteiger and/or Schneiderlin/ Otamendi or Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and one other

Yep, they just posted a pic of Boateng and Neuer. He writes for SportBild and is a Bayern journo. He wrote Schweini isnt there, and included that pic from the Bayern account. I dont hink Müller leaving is even talked about over there.

Well Settembrini has just provided hard evidence that proves Smalling features regularly, which renders the injury-prone point moot.

I'm not content with mediocrity. As I said, Smalling is now one of the best defenders in the league and due to his performances last season deserves his place in the first team. To me, that's indisputable.
Features regularly & featured regularly are completely different things. He has a checkered injury record since he joined us for Christ sake man.

No doubt Smalling is on the cusp of being a great defender & i hope he stays fit, but history & form are not in his favour, so it's crazy to not seek 2 top class CB's & have the 3 of them competing for the 2 starting berths. Jone's is 2nd tier..

aka we won't hear shit for a week.

We would probably need two centre backs to win the Champions League, but domestically? I don't agree, Smalling is one of the best centre backs in the league and Rojo and Jones are good enough cover.

I think the last point is exaggerated a bit. Forgive me if my memory is skewed, but did Smalling really miss large portions of the season like many are citing? He has spells out yes, but wasn't as injury prone as Evans, who must be shifted, and Jones who needs more competition. I have faith in Smalling as a first teamer, he's grown as a player and leader. One centre back will suffice IMO.
Smalling is fine for first team football but to say he's one of the best CB's in the league is a huge jump. Huge.

Jones is good enough to cover but the guy seriously needs to learn to back pass. Seriously.

Smalling's injury record has been terrible & he's not suddenly gonna be fit as fiddle & injury-free just like that. Same as Jones too..

I'm seriously baffled why folk are content with mediocrity, when there's far better players out there than what we have & will bring us onto the next level!

How exactly do you define terrible? How would you have said Hargreaves did during his tenure at United?
If played in his best position on a regular basis he'll turn out in over 90% of games. As good as any other player injury wise.

I don't see it as a huge jump at all. Who is better? He's as good as any of City's centre backs, granted he's behind Koscielny and Terry, but he's better than the other centre backs at Arsenal and Liverpool. He's top five as a minimum IMO, though that admittedly doesn't say a lot with the quality of defending now.

Well I'm not one of Jones' biggest fans. I appreciate he finished the season strongly however, but he would still be behind Smalling, Rojo and the new centre back in my pecking order. Competition will hopefully bring the best out of him.

Jamie Jackson just makes wild guesses...He's never been right about anything...In the past few summers he has claimed we were minutes away from signing Ronaldo, Fabregas, Bale, Sneijderlin among other...It is well known that he is not in the know and just guesses

Sorry, i must have been living in cloud-cookoo-land, in thinkin Smalling was never injured for large parts of every season since he joined in 2010 & has only played 100 games..
