Van Gaal will probably put on Fellani for Rooney and Valencia on for Darmian at half time.
Nah, he will not bring Rooney off. More like Martial will make way.

Dunno if were having a bad day or Arsenal are on their game today. They look unbelievable at the minute but second half could be different, they could relax too much and United could come into their own and win 4-3. That's what will happen.

The shame is, Arsenal will go back to being shit next week.. Every single one of those players has let us fans down today.

    1000 times This.

I said this exact thing in pre match and was almost certain we'll lose today.
Just shocked that LVG was naïve enough to play such an attacking formation against them. Predictable formation too.

Not using Schneiderlin to shield the midfield is a baffling decision (although yes he did have a poor game midweek). Not having Herrera and Jones out there considering the type of opposition we are playing away from home?

Schneiderlin for Carrick, Jones for Darmian and maybe Fellaini for Rooney in 2nd half...

Depay's been awful, I'm all for playing young players but it has to be on merit. He struts around, doesn't track back, he already thinks he's a superstar and it doesn't help he's never benched even when he's poor
At least someone's said it, currently he can only be benched if Darmian changed to left back and Valencia came on right back with Young taking his place. He's playing awful, everytime Young goes through the left side Memphis is nowhere to be seen.

The sad part is that no matter who has the control of the match or is putting pressure on the other team we always seem to get fecked. No need for explanation for the first 20 minutes, but for the rest of the match in the parts when we have put pressure on them or controlled the match we had no idea what to do with the ball. We were fecked either way, there was no difference of who was in the control of the match.

The worst part isn't even that we're down three to nothing. It's the fact that we're down three to nothing and still playing as if we're a goal up that's killing me. We have no other facets to our game than rolling the ball around in front of the opposition, regardless of the circumstances. It's fecking infuriating.

No tempo, no urgency, no spine, no nothing when the going gets tough.

What the feck is happening? From the start when it was 0-0 our pressing was all over the place, and Arsenal punishing us was inevatable. Since then they have scored 3 fecking goals and nothing has been done about it. Absolute bs. Fecking embarrasing to make such a shithouse team like Arsenal to let them play how they're playing. We all know they bottle it when the going gets tough and we let them have an easy fecking ride.

    There's only one United!
Rooney is completely off form and has been so all season.

It's been dire, but let's see how we can salvage something out of this. If not points, at least a better performance. Right, so here goes....

Darmian has been terrible but the option of Valencia against Sanchez is even more frightening. To his defence, he's coming up against one of the best wingers in the world and he has 0 support from Mata in front of him.

Rooney has also been cack, but Herrera is not on the bench and we have no alternatives. Him and Darmian are finishing the game, because of lack of options.

Now the things we can change...

Memphis has been shocking and Young is not a left back. Bring Jones on for Depay and put him at centreback, push Young forward and put Blind at left back.

Carrick and Schweini is a very static formation in midfield against a pacey Arsenal team and they provide little defensive cover. Bring on Schneiderlin for one of the two.

Let's see if we can score one goal and worry them.

Don't forget we were 4-0 up against Newcastle a few years back. We all know what happened. In the last 10 minutes of this game we've already shown the signs of sloppiness that typically end up with us self-destructing. I'm still annoyed at Ramsey missing that sitter too.

The annoying thing for me is that if Fergie was still managing us, i'd almost expect us to come back in the 2nd half and get at least a draw, especially against Arsenal.
Under Moyes and Van Gaal, i wouldn't expect us to come back from 3-0 agaisnt Accrington fecking Stanley to be honest.

And they are doing it right. Pass it quickly, switch sides quickly, counter attack with pace and passing crisply.

Id keep Rooney on, but why isn't Schniederlin playing today? Hes perfect for this game and would break up the play better than whats been happening. Once it went 2-0 he should have been brought on, Bastian is a sub not a starter for these games.

Does anyone else feel like Memphis needs to play on the right wing instead of the left? It would force him to put in more crosses instead of cut back into a slew of defenders. His game is too predictable right now on the left wing. On the right wing im pretty sure he would cause a lot more havoc running at defenders and getting behind fullbacks.

So the idea was to play two deep lying playmakers and a number 10 that's completely off the pace of the game? Daley Blind still a premier league central defender? Id be utterly embarrassed to collect my check if i was the manager.

Rooney and Memphis lose the ball every time they get it, and the rest of the attacking play is just too static. We Unfortunately, our drive and attacking impetus is dependent on these two players and they've both been poor today. And the worst thing is that this isn't surprising, because they're not really doing anything different to every other game this season.

That's my criticism for us on the ball. The thing that's killed this game off is how shambolic we've been off the ball. One pass-two pass and Arsenal constantly find themselves moving the ball from their back line to a direct run at pace at our back 4 - completely bypassing our midfield. Schweinsteiger, Rooney and Carrick are finding themselves being too easily passed out of the game. At one point I counted all 3 of our central midfielders (counting Rooney) pushing up to close down Arsenal's backline. ping-ping-ping and Arsenal suddenly find themselves 4 on 4 with our backline. And that wasn't for any of the goals, so it could have been a lot worse than just 3.

And LvG has seemingly done nothing to change a thing. What does he write down in that pad of his, and is there nothing in there that might be of immediate relevance when you find yourself 3-0 down after 20 minutes???

This is shocking. Probably the worst first half I've ever seen us play. Both full backs have been shocking. Our midfield is looking like it's stuck back in the horror days of Cleverley being in there. Rooney and Memphis being frustrating in limited time we have had the ball near their box. That Martial chance was the key to getting back into the game. Great save by Cech though, so what can you do?

Can we sub our whole 11 and just ask 11 relatively young, fit looking United fans to play.

    Can't do any worse right?

This was an incredibly naïve approach by us. We had to have known that Arsenal were going to come right at us after a bad result in CL midweek and players had also gotten a lot more rest compared to us. The midfield is too slow to contend with players like Sanchez and Walcott.

We just need to control the damage and put this behind us. If we let this result get to us then we're in for a disastrous month with the fixtures that are coming up. The whole season can unravel.

Can't see us having the energy to turn the game around, just need to show in the second half that we can compete. So far we've looked like a championship side.
