Lot of the time I feel like he gets taken off harshly too, considering the overall squad performances.

If it isn't Mata then one of Herrera, Fellaini or Memphis. Memphis maybe.
I am leaning towards Memphis or Fellaini. Neither seem happy at all. Especially Fellaini. I think his international manager has been chirping in his ear. In fact we know he has. Herrera is chuffed to be here. Memphis I am not sure.

Money's on Rooney, especially the part where he says "it's not fair on me or the fans". Sounds exactly like something that scouse turncoat would say after all the grief he's getting from the latter.

That paragraph at the bottom. You're a credit to no one champ. Go support City or Chelsea. You won't be missed.
OK wise guy, so that was what I said.

Seriously these jokers in internet forum have no ball to say anything a little bit controversial and at the same time acting like they are the toughest guy in the world. Give me a break

Also Herrera has always said about having to change his game and actually doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Has always shown fight to get his place in the side. Yet understands that he might not always play but will try to take his chance when he gets it. This is someone who thinks he is entitled to play. The fact LvG does not trust Mata at 10. In fact would rather play Herrera there and keeps saying he needs a right winger might have ruffled his feathers a bit.
I do feel bad for Mata, he has been shunted out the right because his natural ability allows him to do a decent job there, he isn't playing there because LvG thinks he's great out there, he is playing there because we have no decent natural RW, imo LvG is frustrated with Mata there which is why Lingard is seeing some game time.

Mata must know LvG sees him as second rate as a RW as he keeps harping on about having to buy wingers with pace, what happens to Mata then? Rooney and Herrera seem ahead of him as the number 10, and Mata is no back up winger or third choice number 10, he must know his days are numbered imo.

Mata, under used and under threat? He's started every Premier League game. 3 out of 5 CL games and the game against Ipswich. He has the best end product of everyone in the squad, statistically. I wouldn't say his starting position is under threat at all. Is there anyone other than Smalling who has played more games than Mata?
he's stuck out wide, in a team with very close to minimal attacking threat.
He always cuts in, and with Rooney up front had next to no movement to help him.

Unecognisable to the player who ripped it up for Chelsea

Have you not noticed that Lingard is emerging, and starting the odd game instead of him, and replacing him at times too?

I'd be fairly confident Mata will out in the summer if we can get a real big player or pacemeister

Could be almost any of them.

Is it my imagination or do good players frequently become bad (temporarily, hopefully) when they come to Old Trafford these days?
Yeah and we always immediately blame the player for being crap instead of asking what's going wrong at the club and the way we play football. I've said it for a while now but we'd make Messi look rubbish. And a lot of our fans would instantly start saying he's crap and overrated.

I don't think he's unrecogniseable from the player at Chelsea. It's a bizarre revisionism, implying Mata was an unstoppable force at Chelsea. He had plenty of games where he was ineffective and subbed off, just as he has done for us. In Premier League games, Mata has matched his output at Chelsea for United, in significantly fewer games. United definitely overpaid for him, but he's playing just as well.

And many seem to be of the belief he played as a central #10 every game there too, and that really wasn't the case. He played on both flanks plenty.

It's gotta be Rooney, because the quote is a direct steal from his fellow scousers The Beatles:

Suddenly I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly

...Such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Yesterday, seems like half my hair has flown away
Oh, I believe in yesterday...and my legs have buggered off too
Boo hoo

Expect an Oasis quote leaked in the press next.

Please tell us why you think you would get stick for saying this? Would love to hear who you would switch too and who you switched from previously also?
There was reply for this part previously. I would comment in your next attempt of personal attack

Say what? He's one of our best players, LVG just doesn't like him.

I think it's Mata.
LvG does not dislike Herrera, he would have played last night if not for injury. A lot are starting to say Mata. The other guy is a Barcelona fan, Herrera was linked with them supposedly. He is just winding us up.

Sorry what personal attack? Genuine interest in how you can switch your support of a club so flippantly. I would respect your reasons even if I dont agree with them.

What door? Another tough internet guy
I hope LVG gets a one year extension just so you go and support another club.

What you said wasn't controversial. It was plain stupid. The only people I've ever known to switch football clubs were little kids, 10 and under.

And don't start the tough internet guy bullshite. It's boring.

Yes, these 02 sentences fit very nicely. Hoping an overrated manager to get an extension in order to make a fan to switch club is indeed deep thinking

Haha.

Ganging up on someone over the internet does not always guarantee people a clear win
When you post something stupid, people will call you on it.

Tell me, do you not find your threat of supporting another club eerily similar to all of the internet tough guy behavior you've been denouncing?

If you have so much interest in my reasoning then read my previous reply to this part. Please genuinely go back to review it if that helps

You didn't do yourself any favours with your original post or with any of your defence posts. Time to stop. Consider myself thwarted.

Like I said previously I do expect some stick, but do spend time to define the stupidity in my previous post. If you can't tell the difference between stupidity and personal preference then the joke is on you

Look I agree with you about the lack of spirit but the fans have a role to play too. What happened to 'through thick and thin'?

What favor? You are with the crowd, fine, but at least make some sense in your personal attack

Very true.

Have you decided on a new team? May I suggest Liverpool? They're on the rise these days - plus, yeah.

You can still remain a Caf member, of course. But a name change is perhaps in order: Justice4fan1996? Should go well with the new team an' all.

As soon as I saw the thread title, Mata was the first name that immediately came to mind.

I said I would wait for LVG's fate then decide. If you want to be part of the crowd at least get your fact straight before contributing your part

Mate don't let them get you down, I've switched clubs 3 times in the last decade. Perfectly normal IMVHO.

Ok, your threat of going off to support another club is stupid. Why? Because it's about as hollow a threat as you're ever going to see. A club with millions of fans isn't going to be moved by your false bravado, ergo it's a stupid post.

Can you just switch clubs though. I mean, even if I wanted to I couldn't just start supporting another team. It doesn't work like that for most people.

If I do not have some loyalty left over my 19 years of supporting this club, I would not wait 2.5 years and more to count (with this daft current manager) or even bother showing up in this forum to make my point.

Unlike many glory hunters who lack courage to get the stick from this highly loyal forum, the fact is I still show up, I seriously try to fully express my opinion that United should move on with a better manager, and I still have my faith on the management to make some change when the season ends regarding the manager situation.

So your loyalty is worth about 12% of the time you've put in, then? Glad I'm not your friend, buddy.
