Surely the board aren't going to give him another game to fall even further behind?

The board don't have the balls, they just hope everything will magically get better so they don't have to many any decisions. Chelsea are as low on confidence as us and are without Costa and we're at home, it won't prove anything if we beat them and it won't undo the previous month of results.

6 points conceded (Stoke,Chelsea) because the Glazers dont want to pay compensation for sacking him.

They are probably also bricking it that he will raise the issue of transfer funds and wage capacity.

LVGs record with MU is worse than Moyes. LVG is ruining the club, players and fans. Cannot think of anything good from him.
The problem with Moyes is that he dithers and his football formula is only good for midtable football. I do think that he would have done a better than LVG at making us a strong Europa League club but that's not what we want. LVG failed and Moyes failed too, that's the only thing we should consider, the rest is irrelevant.

To be fair behind closed doors things may be happening. Wouldn't suprise me if Giggs is now in charge for Chelsea and in a few hours we'll hear the news. The club will want to do this right and ideally want to secure our next appointment before LvGs departure is announced.

The problem we have now if we don't sack him is that we can hardly sack him if he wins the Chelsea game.
I think we can and reckon he'll be sacked regardless of Monday's result. Everybody knows that one game should not make a difference either way when it comes to keeping or sacking a manager. He will have been sacked because of the overall performance this season, not just in one match. If anything, it only makes the board look more considered in their decision and less reactionary.

Purely for the sake of argument I don't agree with that. Moyes changed feck all on our style and if he'd had us move more towards his late Everton side we'd have been better off. He very much tried to implement Fergie's tactics and just couldn't do it.

Lose against Chelsea Van Gaal resigns, we install Mourinho. I find it very strange that the board were not at the Stoke game. Players to stand up and be counted, both the players and the manager have let each other down.

Am I the only one noticing a pattern here?

Before every match the media say he needs to win to save his job, and then after they back track and say "oh now if he loses the next match he will leave" and so on

If we lose to Chelsea they will do it again and say it depends on the Swansea match. Its very tedious.

They don't actually have a clue do they? LvG is untouchable

And I'm talking about his Everton tactics, it was for a midtable side with midtable tactic. Moyes failed to emulate Fergie and we ended up 7th but with his own tactic I'm fairly sure that we would have been 4th place fighters at best.

Why is the guy still not sacked. How the results went yesterday if they had sacked him last week and we win we would still be in the title race.

We have managed to hire and most likely fire two managers over the space of three years, I have no doubt about there business knowledge but they need someone with football brain to provide some input.

When`s the presser for the Chelsea game? I want to see if LVG has any mince pies and wine left.

This whole wanting everything done instantly is spoilt and lacks any consideration

Did you read the rest of my post?
I did and I've read most of your others too. It seems the only reason you're not clamouring for him to be sacked like the rest of us is because you're terrified we will get Mourinho.

For what's it's worth, I don't really want him either but to have kept LVG on for this amount of time is simply unacceptable from the powers above. He's a broken man and shouldn't be leading the club in any capacity right now. He's threatening to quit for crying out loud! What message does that send to our players? Will it help to give them confidence? The Chelsea game is just a formality now.

I agree we need to be careful about our next appointment and it does take time, but for the love of God just get LVG out before we completely destroy this season and any progress that we have achieved under him in the past 18 months.

I'd rather lose to Chelsea with Giggs in charge than this guy who can't believe he is still an employee here!

I doubt there will be. He said in previous press conf. that 'maybe' he will see them next in new year.

He stays, gets £100 million to spend, and celebrates at Wing's... didn't you realise beating Chelsea solves everything.
I wasn't entirely serious but there are a few fans around thinking like that.
Tbh I think the board arw more level headed then many believe.

Really think they all need to go if/when he get sacked, Giggs included, putting him as interim just seems daft as he's now been number two in two horribly failed management setups, if he's had input (which he should have had plenty) then he is seriously at fault too, if he's had limited or no input then he has no right to stay either.

Put Joyce in charge as interim if needs be.
