    Memphis has been excellent.
Varela, Riley, Morgan and Rashford have been good.
Romero and Herrera have been grand.
Carrick, Blind, Mata and Lingard have been bad.

Not great when 3 of the 4 senior players we have left able to stand up on their own, are all in the bad column.

Biggest fourty five minutes of Van Gaal's United career coming up. It's win or bust, simple as.

I don't want to imagine us going out to this shit, but somehow I can see it happening, especially with Mata's penalty miss. We should be able to score 2 goals in the second half as they're absolutely abysmal, but I can see them fluking another goal.

Yeah, it is not like he scored two brilliant goals against Liverpool in the race for top 4 last season.

Some of you lot need to have your ability to retain memory tested.
Granted, he has scored goals. But he's also responsible for a lot of the bad misses both this season and last season. Other than that Liverpool game, I can't think of a game Mata took by the scruff of the neck to make his mark.

Mata has had freedom to roam all season. He has always been a focal point and he is the supposed playmaker but I don't see enough play being made by him do merit such high status.
He was shunned out right for most of the season, if you build a team around a player you dont move him out of his best position to accommodate others.

That penalty was so sad I think you could actually hear it crying as it slowly rolled towards goal.

Seeing it for a third time, the pk looks even worse. No power, med placement. No real conviction behind the shot.

Time to look for a new pk specialist.

Owen seems to think that penalty kick had 'a bit of pace on it'. It fecking bounced before reaching the keeper for chrissakes. Gawd he is useless
This, it was pretty weak pen. Id it had any pace at all, it was in. Bizarre he even said that.

Anyway, a pretty meh game IMO. Can't leave a team score against you like that when you're dominating possession. Memphis looking the most likely to make something happen. Needs to improve his decision-making/end product.

I love mata as a player, I`ve always supported him, but I guess in the summer he should be offloaded, a player of his quality needs to be dominating games like this, that penalty might cost us the CL spot depending how far we go

If there's an important moment in a game you can bet your life on Mata messing it up.
His finishing, usually regarded as an important moment in a game, is one of his strengths.

One average penalty doesn't change that.

They will definitely score again. We need 3 more goals to go through.

Not doing too bad considering our injured 11 is better then the 11 on the pitch

    Ddg
    Darmian Smalling Jones Shaw
    Fellaini Bastian
    Valencia Rooney Young
    Martial

That allegation can be levelled at each and everyone of our outfield players with the exception of Martial. To laud Memphis after a good half and say he has more bottle than Mata is laughable currently. Depay has had far too many horror shows this season.

This is a perfect example of two very poor Europa teams.

Memphis is playing well tonight but he always does against shite defenders.
