Look at Liverpool's team today.I don't think we can do that, isn't there precedent that you can't rest too many players? Have to field strong 11 or something

Surely Collymore wouldn't risk damaging his reputation by spreading those tweets if there wasn't some truth to it?
No, but a box with a mobile phone stuck on (supposedly) would. To be fair most explosives don't alert metal detectors, and mobile phones are hardly going to arouse suspicion on their own. If you get the components into the ground the rest would be fairly simple.
He's full of piss?Seriously hope Collymore is full of shite, because the alternative is pretty horrifying.
Really? I genuinely don't remember being patted down since this season. Never did in the North Stand and certainly don't remember even being delayed getting in to the east stand, but then this season I have to queue for a min or two while everyone gets searched.
Yeah, it's not the best search either. I remember against Midgt only being able to get one arm out of my coat because I was holding my phone etc. and he wasn't fussed. No, but a box with a mobile phone stuck on (supposedly) would.
@dwd they should be picking up a box. Everytime I've been, you take your jacket off and get patted down. Anything in your hands is checked.

He's on the radio with people phoning in information? (I presume)How is Collymore so ITK?
Pretty sure this would be regarded as a "high alert situation" in anyone's book.Because no one has thought about the possibility of a bomb in a football ground before today?
They police can't indiscriminately secure every public facility, they do so under high alert situations only.
He works for talksport and is an ex-pro, safe to say talksport are feeding him the info thoughHow is Collymore so ITK?
Just a guess, but I have heard him before commentate on some Talksport games, maybe he's there today? How is Collymore so ITK?
Ah, I see.Could be either. They'll detonate whatever the package was, and then analyze the remains to confirm.
Yeah, that makes no sense on any level.Reports on NBCSN are saying police won't allow the two teams to negotiate a replay date until the device has been destroyed. Very surreal....
Well it sort of does, as there may be no stadium/stand left for all they know?Yeah, that makes no sense on any level.
this has to be rubbish.Reports on NBCSN are saying police won't allow the two teams to negotiate a replay date until the device has been destroyed. Very surreal....
Normal procedure.This is crazy.
Bomb disposal in this country is the army.FFs there's some serious shit happening if they're calling the army. I don't know how things work in the UK but that's darn serious. Calling bomb disposal for a suspicious package is one thing but the army, the threat must be real. Praying for everybody's safety.
Agreed.... not sure what one would have to do with another....Yeah, that makes no sense on any level.
But even then... why is it up to the police when they start negotiating a replay?Well it sort of does, as there may be no stadium/stand left for all they know?
thanks :-)They usually cover it with blankets that are designed to absorb the blast. Some energy will escape the blankets, but the damage will depend on whether or not they can move the package, and how well they can cover it up.
Package is probably small, as it would have to be brought in, so other than damage to immediate surroundings, it shouldn't be that bad.
Unless the Manchester police has their own bomb squad, they would be military that is referred to. Alternately, the military will just be there to help block off the area or similar. The Telegraph just tweeted that the police are waiting for the military to arrive. I'm not sure if that's true or not obviously.
What they say goes, in this situation - and rightly so.But even then... why is it up to the police when they start negotiating a replay?
Yeah they're only really fussed with bags; I always wear a big jacket and they never check inside that. It'd take 3 hours to get everyone inside if they checked everyone properly.Yeah, it's not the best search either. I remember against Midgt only being able to get one arm out of my coat because I was holding my phone etc. and he wasn't fussed.
